2024-25 Trade Rumors Thread

The Kings JVs have some interesting guys playing for them. Their three two way players and Colby Jones a high 2nd round draft pick last year. These four aren't making much salary but they all look like ballers. They also have the best record in the GLeague at the moment.

Jazz trade value rankings imo

Kessler: Two firsts in teens
Markkanen: One first in teens and expiring contracts
Sexton: One first in early 20s and an expiring contract
Hendricks: One first in late 20s
Keyonte: One first in late 20s
Collins: Two seconds in 40s and an expiring contract
Filipowski: One early second
Collier: One early second
Brice: One early second
Svi: One early second
Cody: One early second

Christ on a bike, man. If that is the price for Markkanen, he will be moved as soon as legally possible. I would be extremely surprised if that is all it would take and would even consider something like FVV + Reed Shephard from the Rockets to be on the lower side of what I would seriously consider.

Markkanen has had a down year, has been injured a ton recently, has been an extremely bad defender this year, and is on a full four year max.

Obviously none of these guys will be traded other than Sexton or Collins potentially.

I`m pretty sure most GMs understand that Lauri will be much better with a good creator beside him, that most of his injuries will coneniently go away when his team has something to play for and actually see his long term contract as a good thing. For next year, he is on a 30% max, which will go down to around 27% for the final three years as the salary remains the same for 26-27 as 25-26 and climbs from there.

I don't know, Markkanen physically looks really bad this year so I have to assume his injuries are at least somewhat real. His explosion is completely gone.

Him having no creators around him does excuse some of his offensive decline, but him also being one of the worst defenders in the NBA this year also makes him very questionable as to whether he's even worth this contract.

Again, his trade value has declined so terribly since the 2024 deadline that it's basically impossible to trade him without Ainge getting fired, but I think this is just his trade value now.

Dude, you're stinking up this board like the other one.

Lauri's trade value has declined for various reasons, no doubt, but Kessler supposedly being more valuable than him on the open market is a joke.

Don't get me wrong, I like Walker and he's becoming a truly great offensive rebounder, but he's also still shooting .547 at the stripe and averaging just 1.5 FT makes per game, which is terrible for a guy who only works right at the rim.

what is this crap. as homer would say "dough." thank god you are not the jazz GM. the only way you should trade lauri for one 1st round pick is after the lottery next year. once you know who drafts first overall (assuming not the jazz) you might consider trading lauri for the first overall. Without getting a great pick why would you even think to trade lauri for 1 first round pick. dont get it.

Walker just makes so little money that he has significant value to some playoff teams.

Lauri is paid a lot.

One thing I think seems clear is I think Milwaukee thinks Middleton is washed. Not sure Collins/Middleton and their lone first would make sense but would push them lower on the salary scale and get them close to where they could aggregate salaries. Would we want a superswap with our pick and the Phoenix pick?

I think they have their eyes on something bigger but the noise around their willingness to deal Khris leads me to believe they think he won't be getting back to where they need him too. We'd just let him rehab this year and use him as an expiring next year and maybe showcase him to start the season.
I’d want a piece of flesh to sell back to them for Giannis, so, if that’s on the table then big yes.

If you’re not willing to bet with me at least be a man and admit it and while you’re at it you can apologize to us all for being an insufferable know it all.

Perception is everything, and Lauri isn’t playing like a max contract player
