Jimmy is such an *** that a good team like Memphis that might just roll the dice... is likely out. If he tanks a good teams season with his pouting it is an awful trade. No other team wants to extend him outside of Phoenix and Beal is basically saying "if its cold where you are... pass... if you ain't competitive... pass". Someone needs to tell Pat that free agency ain't a think anymore and he shoulda taken Beal for Jimmy and gotten the pick.

I blame Washington for giving Beal a lifetime no-trade clause.

The Clips could really use Sexton. Too bad they don't have much in terms of assets to deal.

Their entire bench scored a grand total of 8 points last night. KPJ gave them a goose egg in the scoring column. It wasn't a great night for Kawhi either but he's moving on the court better than I've seen the past few years. They basically have a 1-2 year window as long as he stays healthy.

How about expirings of Tucker + Bones + 2030 FRP swap for Sexton? Maybe the trade could be expanded to include Eubanks as Bamba has been a disaster as their backup center.

Clarkson makes more sense for the Clippers imo. Every dollar really matters for them, so they would want the cheaper option.

Phoenix also should have said "we will rescue you from Washington but you need to waive the no-trade clause permanently" if that is possible. He may have passed on it but that was the time to address the current issue... when you can save him from NBA purgatory.

Clarkson for Tucker+Bones doesn't quite get the under the tax. We could take in another one of minimum guys, but we'd have to find roster spots and then cut.

I think Terrance Mann is one to watch as far as being traded. I think the cat is out of the bag that he's actually not that good or young. Mann has got to be considered a negtive contract right now, so we should get incentive for Sexton and for taking on his deal.

Mann+Tucker for Sexton gets them under the tax. You can add in Eubanks for Bones in that deal as well.

They’re gonna need C depth and some spacing too. Maybe fold in Eubanks and Svi or Juzang, that’s kind of a crazy good pick and will be hard to get outright.

I tend to agree with this but it just dawned on me that Portis might work well enough at this stage in their respective careers and the opportunity cost that Lopez might be levying.
