Trump Dictatorship and All Things Politics

Let's see, so if you had Ethnic Cleansing and Unitary Executive Theory on your bingo cards, go ahead and mark those off. We'll get to the Automotive industry shortly.
I'm winning, I'm winning!

Wait...

Oh ****...

What the actual ****?

What the actual ****?

It’s what the working class wanted! Cmon LG, the party of the working class, Elon, Trump, and Thiel, are in control now. We all know what red states will do when trying to fund OSHA. All that codes out to be is “shucks, this program doesn’t exist anymore. Tough beans!”

Besides, how many OSHA recipients will ever even know who gutted their program? Our fragmented media environment will just blame DEI, trans people, democrats, or immigrants.

We are in a lot of trouble right now. Don’t kid yourself. We are in deep ****.

The United States is sleepwalking into a constitutional crisis. Not only has the Trump administration seized for itself extraconstitutional powers, but yesterday, it raised the specter that, should the courts apply the text of the Constitution and negate its plans, it will simply ignore them.

The Spanish political scientist Juan Linz once theorized that presidential systems are more likely than parliamentary systems to undergo constitutional crises or coup attempts, because they create dueling centers of power. The president and Congress both enjoy popular elections, creating a clash of popular mandates when opposing parties win simultaneous control. “Who has the stronger claim to speak on behalf of the people,” Linz asked, “the president or the legislative majority that opposes his policies?” Presidential systems would teeter and fall, he argued, when the president and Congress could not resolve their competing claims to legitimacy.

A dozen years ago, when Republicans in Congress presented their majorities as having negated Barack Obama’s electoral mandate and began threatening to precipitate a debt crisis to force him to accept their domestic economic plan, Linz’s ideas began attracting renewed attention among liberal intellectuals. And indeed, the system is teetering. But the source of the emergency is nearly the opposite of what Linz predicted. The Trump administration is not refusing to share power with an opposing party. It is refusing to follow the constitutional limits of a government that its own party controls completely.

Donald Trump is unilaterally declaring the right to ignore spending levels set by Congress, and to eliminate agencies that Congress voted to create. What makes this demand so astonishing is that Trump could persuade Congress, which he commands in personality-cult style, to follow his demands. Republicans presently control both houses of Congress, and any agency that Congress established, it can also cut or eliminate.

Yet Trump refuses to even try to pass his plan democratically. And as courts have stepped in to halt his efforts to ignore the law, he is now threatening to ignore them too. “If a judge tried to tell a general how to conduct a military operation, that would be illegal,” Vice President J. D. Vance posted on X yesterday morning. “If a judge tried to command the attorney general in how to use her discretion as a prosecutor, that’s also illegal. Judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power.”

If Republicans has any backbone, they'd remind our Mango Moron who exactly controls the purse strings. That said, Congress's ability to exert its authority went away with Gingrich (Jesus, I never thought I'd say that). The absolutely hilarious part is it's the reverse problem in Utah where Gov. Coxless bends over and toots them cheeks up for anything the Legislature wants to the point where they have equal ability to execute the laws in all but name only.

Alight, so if you had the US Manufacturing Sector and Mafia-style Judicial Corruption on your Bingo card, let's go ahead and mark those off. We should be getting to Intellectual Scapegoating and doubled-downed Gaslighting tomorrow.

There is absolutely no justification for this. Trump apologists’ reply to this outrageously poor decision is to focus on the lies offered by Benz and Musk that demand this agency be eradicated. From my perspective, this refusal by Trump apologists to recognize how harmful, and really, how CRUEL, this decision is, simply points to the fact that “owning the libs” and “destroying Woke” is all that matters.

Truly, if Trump/Musk we’re to suggest “re-education camps” for people who seem too worked up over the first couple of weeks of Trump 2.0, there would be Trump supporters everywhere who would support the creation of “re-education camps”. I do believe that. Fall asleep at the wheel, and we are asking for a world of hurt.

It can’t be pointed out often enough. Trump, Musk, and many of their supporters have long demonstrated one undeniable fact: the CRUELTY is the point!! This is how terrible things happen in history: by turning a blind eye!!!! By an electorate sleepwalking through history, and supporting cruelty. Wake the eff up!

And this cruelty is the new face that America wants to present to the world. This is, and always has been, the very heart of MAGA: cruelty.

“OK, let’s begin by stipulating what everybody agrees with: There’s a lot of wasteful spending in government, a lot of overlap, and too many programs that no longer serve any purpose kept needlessly alive. Pledging to “cut the fat” out of government spending is a good idea for any administration, and some have actually done so.

But that in no way justifies Elon Musk’s shutting down the United States Agency for International Development — which President Trump said has his “100 percent support.” It’s one of the most short-sighted, most dangerous and most stupid decisions made by any modern president — and one Donald Trump will soon regret, especially as Russia and China step in with their own humanitarian programs.

USAID was created by President John F. Kennedy in 1961, in the middle of the Cold War, to provide a humane presence, not a military presence, for the United States throughout the world. Since then, under both Republican and Democratic presidents, it has saved millions of lives, providing food, health care, housing and security for the poorest people in the poorest countries on the planet.

Among other successes, USAID is credited with preventing a 2014 Ebola outbreak in Guinea. The President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, George W. Bush’s anti-HIV/AIDS program administered largely through USAID, is hailed for saving 26 million lives so far. Until last weekend, USAID was battling a new malaria outbreak in Uganda.

Remarkably, USAID provided that “smiling face” for America around the world, made so many friends for America, and saved so many lives at a cost of roughly $40 billion a year, less than 1 percent of the federal budget. We taxpayers got more bang for our buck from USAID than any other government program. But now, suddenly, all of that good work and good will are gone”.

I'd be more worried about the direction by the DoJ to stop the prosecution of Adams in NYC. They literally said that you are above the law if you are helping the Mango Mussolini.

You live in a world of lies. Almost nothing you are saying is true.

  • Musk isn't shutting down anything because he doesn't have that authority.
  • USAID isn't shutting down, but the State Department has ordered a 90-freeze to evaluate all aid programs, and there is a waiver system which can be used by USAID administrators to request an immediate review to get funding freed up immediately.
  • According to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the biggest problem with USAID are the staffs who don't believe they are answerable to anyone. The State Department wanted to evaluate the current operations, and some of the USAID staff told them to pound sand. Those staffs learned they are in fact answerable to the State Department.
  • Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said USAID is not shutting down, there are programs they administer that are noble, and they will continue to operate.

I know you won't watch that video of the guy in charge making clear what is happening because you don't want to know. You want the lies you live in, and will seek out lying articles on the internet to reinforce the lies you want to live in.
