From European standpoint, it's pretty clear USA is now a borderline dictatorship.

Their president can't be prosecuted for his misdemeanors while in power, and he's ready to use his power to get his will. This kind of shield against being prosecuted, is already a threat,but at this timeline of Musk/Trump unholiness, it's a disaster. They'll divide your nation now more rapidly than ever and are going to use unlawful tools as well

He is not going with the decisions of highest court, but seems to keep insisting he can do whatever he feels he wants to do (and say)

I don't know how much of stupidity it takes for ANY American to realize this.

Thanks for your perspective. I have family (cousins) that live in the netherlands and they have similar thoughts to yours.

Not surprised. Highest court is supposed to protect from using power wrongfully, and unless this kind of quirk of withholding the state funds against the court decision made, won't be a one time thing, and they'll going to keep going against court orders more, it becomes evident.

It seems that the situation has come down to half of them voters "Let our GUY do whatever as far it's not against me". The issue is, you can't know when you're life changes in a way that the people in the oval iffice actually becomes your enemy no1. It's happened to many people in Hungary and Russia, Belarus... And I'm worried of both you guys and the European far right popularity. In paper, we also have a far right party in our Finnish government, but there's no one person that could just say "Oh yeah, I don't need to listen court orders." and give a nay for them. They sign them papers. At least for now.

You are displaying how uninformed you are on the current situation in the United States. The last President literally made speeches boasting how the Supreme Court ruled against him and it didn't stop him. Then, he gave blanket pardons to all of his family and friends to make them above the law.

Meanwhile the Trump administration is abiding by all of these ridiculous temporary restraining orders while they file appeals to be worked out in court. The reality here on the group is the exact opposite of the picture you are painting.

@Bucknutz you've been concerned no one can give Trump any credit. Will you criticize him for fiascos like this? Can you see how this is nothing but destructive and divisive and dangerous and vindictive? Or do you defend this kind of action? What exactly does he deserve any credit for when he has already in 2 short weeks engaged in such destructive and damaging behavior as we have literally never before seen from a newly elected president. How is this kind of **** defended? Will you defend it or will you openly admit this was a stupid and destructive move aimed at hurting people through his vindictiveness?

The problem is, a lot of Americans on the right want a dictatorship. And another part are just dumber than rocks and can’t see that they’re stuck in a personality cult. They like the personality cult. He sells them grievances and the teevee tells them that they’re all victims and gays and people of color are the real enemies.

Which party has been illegally spying on American citizens because of school board meetings and other ******** reasons? Which party has people leaving in droves?
Now tell me which party had an increase in voters for every demographic the last election? Which party won the election by a landslide?
