I think I'd rather have 1 this year.

But I just don't trust anything anyone says about HS players. There is a world where AJ/Boozer/Peterson all aren't as good as advertised and it seems like Cooper is as good as advertised so I would just take the most certain thing.

I'm not a gambler and so I would take Cooper as well. Also, I have to imagine that the #8 pick next year will be better than the #8 pick this year.

That said, as much as I appreciate Cooper and think he has an amazingly high floor I could see Dybantsa or Peterson having a higher ceiling.

The Drake head coach took the Iowa job.

If Owen Freeman/Josh Dix stay on and they get Stirtz to join, they could have a really good team next year.


Edit* Looks like everyone transferred out of Iowa. Kind of crazy to me you'd leave the team when a GOAT coach is coming who just turned a random DII kid into a NBA prospect.

This is going to be very random, but whenever I think of Iowa Basketball I think of Luke Recker from their 2001 team. For some reason I had a huge man crush on him, lol. Does anybody else remember him:

This is why I made the post a few days ago that I would take Cooper over every guy in next years draft.
I have seen cooper at the college level against big time competition in big times games. He is The Guy.
Those other dudes will probably be similarly great in college but it isn't a fact right now with them. Give me the sure thing.

In fact I would take Flagg this year and no pick next year over the #3 this year and next.

Think this draft is going to take a hit with how many players just transfer up to make money.
