Another must lose game. Portland is barely clinging to play in life. The Jazz need to reward them.

I don't think of them as the most important in team history. Bulls vs Jazz in the finals were far more important.

We have all but iced 6th worst at the very least. I think management is will quietly flex their muscles behind the scenes.

Washington plays Philadelphia starting at 5p MST. We'll get to see how that's playing out before worrying about tonight's game with Portland.

Probably not the right place for this, but POR is one of the few good destinations for a Lauri trade. They’re going to be feeling good about themselves after this close, they don’t have money issues, they’ve got good matching salary, and they’ve got assets (though their owed pick protection is tricky). They have forgone the tank route, so trading for a player like Lauri should be right up their alley. DET is the only other team that I think makes more sense.
