Tre Johnson Will Likely be The 5th Pick

According to Rafael Barlowe, there's belief around the league that Charlotte won't bring back Mark Williams (after the failed trade). Charlotte being a bit of a mid-wit franchise might decide that Maluach is the guy they want. They'd probably trade back a spot or two, but that might be a deal the Jazz could pull off for the 4th pick.

When this thread was first made I thought very strongly that Tre would be the most likely pick….I still feel that way, but the buzz around this combine has me thinking it’s way more up in the air. I could see the Hornets going Maluach or Sixers passing on Ace.

I don’t think my initial reaction of Ace/Edgecombe 3/4 will happen.

My guess is that extension talks will go bad/not happen and they will trade him. Gonna be teams out there who want him just to produce on rookie scale contract for one year.

To be fair, a lot of us hated that pick. I would’ve rather had Marcus Smart or Julius Randle after Aaron Gordon jumped up inside the top 4.

And to be fair to Exum, he was a decent player. . . just made if glass.

Not sure we can say we have any of those 3 on our roster right now.
