Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Outside of Jokic and healthy Embiid (and only in truly desperate situations there as they too would prefer to pass), I can't think of a single player that would be trying to shoot against double teams in the NBA, lol.

So if the Jazz didn't take Cody, who were they looking at? Buzelis? It sounded as though Knecht was in play.
No idea but taking a wing that sucks *** right before another wing that doesn’t suck ***… is a really bad look for whoever made that evaluation.

Really hope we can get him, but we'll probably have to move up from 21 to do so. I'm a firm believer in taking a chance on players that can bring something special despite having some drawbacks and who wouldn't want a 6'9'' playmaker? Obviously he comes with question marks about shooting, perhaps defense, but the same goes to some degree for all rookies apart from Flagg. Perhaps he busts like so many rookies that came with 'if he learns to shoot...' or 'if he starts playing defense...' labels, but we already have a top 5 pick, so by all means take a chance on him mid first round or wherever we need to be to get him.

Im not sure you will have to move up to get him.

Im intrigued by Demin, and I wouldnt mind him at 21 at all, but I wouldnt move up to get him. As a scorer he was significantly worse than a guy like Cody Williams. And I would say BYU was pretty well setup to make a guy like Demin look as good as possible. He only scored over 20 points once in the season and it was exactly 20 points. Demin does have a pretty high level skill with his passing at his size that Williams doesnt have, but he's a pretty pathetic scorer/shooter and when you cant score/shoot it's hard to be a passer in the NBA.

After watching the scrimmages I think I need to put Byrd in my top 40. He's the real deal as far as defensive prospects go and I think his offense will be better as a role player rather than a leading man.

I'm waiting until October 28th to make sure he stays, but yeah, I have my eye on him. He has a projected NBA 3pt% of 37.1% per tankathon.

That's fair. When it comes to the draft I do have a tendency to favor the best outcome for rookies, whilst turning a bit of a blind eye to the downsides.

Let him fly as long as he's playing hard on both ends
Yep.
Plus be will be playing with better teammates and with more space. NBA does have better defenders/defenses as well though.
