What's new

Salt Lake City Summer League: July 5-8 @ Huntsman Center

So maybe the starting lineup is: Collier, Sensabaugh, Bailey, Williams, Filipowski. Then Walt and Tonje sub in. Not to read too much into this, but the Jazz are listing both Ace and Cody as forwards, rather than guards. Jazz are a little light on bigs. I'd be surprised if Brice plays both in SLC and Las Vegas.

Also noticing that Cody Williams is still listed at 190 lbs. So that's.....well maybe that needs updated and he's up to 194 lbs or something.

That’s a disgusting summer league lineup. Defense will be rough, but a five out offense with those shooters will be fun. Will be interesting to see how Kyle does defensively at center and whether Ace gets mad at Sensabaugh for chucking instead of him.

regarding the bolded, i think collier will do a solid job of keeping guys involved. because as you alluded to, sensabaugh will chuck. no question about that - a tiger doesn't change his stripes - but i think collier will make sure ace and flip get opportunities. fortunately williams is content with never touching the ball, so that's nice.

Sensibaugh doesnt chuck... He just sucks at passing/making reads.

I'm convinced that he would be a more effective player if he was actually selfish and shot it every time instead of trying to make a play for others. He just becomes a turnover machine when he makes decisions.

It's cool to give him opportunities to try to develop that part of his game, especially in summer league, but his real future role in the NBA is as an efficient gunner.

Do the Jazz really want Omar hanging out with Ace
Seems like it's only a matter of time before he drags Ace into trouble
Jazz need to hire a bodyguard to take care of Ace

Omar Cooper had a son get to the NBA and a daughter in the WNBA. He might know what he's doing when it comes to training players.

It’s not his coaching ability, it’s the power he’s asserting on the franchise….And we all know coach needs different/better coaching anyways.
