I was told that rainbow books at libraries and proposals to regulate the social media telling people to not get vaccinated was the real threat to free speech.

You could almost feel sorry for Keir Starmer having to listen to him but Starmer is a prick too.
 
I have seen trump complain a lot about decisions Jerome Powell makes in regards to interest rates.
I wonder if trump knows that Jerome Powell doesn't decide what the interest rates are. Is trump that dumb? Probably.
FWIW interest rates are decided by the Federal Open Market Committee. This committee is made up of 12 different people who all vote on whether the rates should be increased or decreased.
trump seems to think that its all decided by Powell and that if trump could just get rid of Powell then the interest rates would come down. trump is an idiot.

Trump just generally doesn't know how things work. That would be fine if he was self aware enough to know that, but he thinks his 4th grade level of general knowledge is elite super brain levels of knowledge and that no one could possibly know more than him about anything.

The sad thing is that apparently about 1/3 of the U.S. has a 3rd grade level of general understanding and are astounded by Trump's 4th grade level of understanding.

Yep. Go back to our discussion about Trump's intelligence. He's at least as smart as half of Americans, and it shows.

Faculty who wrote to defend their president and object to a DOJ investigation of their university...are now being investigated by the DOJ.

This can’t be true

I was told that republicans were pro free speech! Did they lie? I was told that learning about slavery and not having Nazis speak on college campuses and boycotting Tucker were the greatest threats to free speech. You know, cancel culture and stuff.
