What's new

We may lose more games than anyone next season but we're going to look good doing it-New court and jerseys

I do like the idea of NBA teams adopting the long-standing NFL tradition of having a throwback jersey every year, and I don’t hate the old Nike/Oregon Ducks tradition of having a unique off branded version (like the gradient City versions) that they roll out every couple of years.

They're fine, though I'll be a contrarian and admit I never really liked the mountain jerseys in the 90s, even though it was the jerseys they had the most success with. I still prefer the original logo jerseys or the revised ones from 2010 until the abomination of the highlighter jerseys came out.

Holy **** did those things absolutely and completely suck. How anyone got paid to design those is beyond me. Such lazy uninspired garbage. As much as I don't care for the mountain jersey's in general, they are 1,000,000x better than the highlighter garbage.
That's just it, no one was paid to design them, they came straight from the cover of Ryan's 7th grade pre-algebra notebook. Doodles in black on a yellow spiral bound notebook. Man those will look so cool! And man did they actually look like abominations against God and nature.

The NBA has been doing this for several decades. They've called them hardwood classics or classic edition unis, etc. Do you watch the NBA?

I do, but it doesn’t feel as consistent as the NFL model. Maybe it’s just because there’s so many games I don’t actually pay as close attention to the uniforms as I do with the NFL where it stands out more.

I’m also a much more casual NBA fan. I don’t follow offseason announcements for either sport but I come across NFL news a lot more easily with my feeds.

Living outside of Utah, most people have no idea what the note means. It's kind of nice to be able to wear Jazz gear and not have too many strangers try to start a conversation about what I'm wearing. And those who do actually know the NBA so it's OK.
I have had a different experience. I have lived in 5 other NBA cities and traveled to most of the other NBA cities and I find the note very recognizable, at least to basketball fans.

I don't think we are really saying different things. NBA fans know the note, but the general population, in my experience doesn't, which is the way I like it.

General population probably doesn't know the mountains in relation to the jazz either.
General population probably dgaf about the jazz to be honest

I don't think I've ever seen the mountain logo by itself, it always has the word Utah with it. Then, even if it was by itself there are a bunch of brands with mountain logos, so it could easily get confused and just isn't very unique.

The note is just much better all around. More iconic for those that know the NBA, more original, more simple.

Actually think the Mountain logo is a 100x more iconic.
