What's new

Netflix recs?

Have you read the book? Maybe I’ll give it another whirl.

I liked Men. An interesting filmmaking approach and criticism on our gender.
*three books. And, yes.

The film is obviously different because it always wanted to be. I don't see much point in comparing them, but I will say that I ****ing love the film's ending more than any peak moment of the novels.

Weirdly, I love Vandermeer's anthologies that he's edited, and his short stories, but never read his novels.

If you don't mind. What's this guy all about? I did a quick google and there are a lot of books, especially ones that start with the letter "A."

****ing streaming services, you sign up for one and then after six months it spits into two services. Binge has now spit into binge and HBO max, I only signed up to Binge for the HBO content. Signed up to Kayo sports only to have the football removed to another service. ***** me to tears.

Admit it you thought binge involved not stop uber wars being delivered to your front door …

SF/fantasy writer, has written some well received books. As I said I haven't read them, but he has edited, with his wife, a number of great anthologies of short stories, both ones focusing on specific sub-genres (New Weird is the one he's most known for, but also Steampunk, Pirate fantasy, and time travel) as well as large fairly definitive genre-spanning compendiums.

Never heard of HBO and football right?
Of course I've heard of Healthy Body Odor and foot balls. Wouldn't wish foot balls on my worst enemy, makes walking so painful. But the Healthy Body Odor movement is just weird. Put some ****ing deodorant on your stinky MFers!
