I would have never guessed that. Even though Yao Ming seems to always be an all-star center even if he's playing, injured, or retired.

The reality is breaking in to the All Star game requires superior numbers. Perennial all stars don't have to clear the same bar. I love Paul, and he's All Star worthy based on the stats, but he would have to be averaging at least 20/10 to push somebody like Dirk out of his spot.
 
The all-star game does seem to be somewhat of an exclusive club, just think how many times Williams was snubbed before he finally made it in.
 
15 and 10 On 57% fg and 45% from 3 at only 38 years young.... Sound like something our team could use?

I'd vote him in too if I were a coach.
 
I can understand Gasol over Al, but Mansap should have made it over Dirk. He has clearly outplayed every power forward in the west besides blake, love, and aldridge.
 
You would think the coaches would be smart enough to pick the player having a career year on a surprising team over a player playing way below his usual numbers on a so far disappointing team. I guess our last hope now is Evans getting invited (and dominating) the slam dunk contest.
 
The jazz beat Blake , Love, and Aldridge 3 of 4 games, and the game they lost was by 2 points with the refs giving the Clips some of the worst calls in history to keep Millsap and the Jazz down and Griffin and Paul looking good.
