What's new

Jeremy Lin

I like stories like Lin's how he was sleeping on his brothers couch in NY and then BOOM! the worlds eyes are on you. He is surely going to be getting his brother a nice new couch next year ;)

btw i dont know why everyone exaggarated him just after 2 games , let him play a bit more, this is nba, not streetball tournament

More than 2 games guy. 25 & 7, 28 & 8, 23 & 10, 38 & 7. Find me another player in the history of the league who put up a stat line anything close to that in 4 consecutive games as a rookie, and tell me if they were busts. This kid is legit.

Is he a 28.5 ppg scorer? No that will definitely come down and teams will start going under on the pick and roll and force him to pull-up and shoot, but if you step out he can split and if you chase he'll go by you. He's already one of the 10 best screen-roll PG's in the league. He's exactly what D'Antoni has been looking for and he will rejuvenate Amare's game once he returns and those two run that high screen-roll Amare ran with Nash in Phoenix. Melo's eventual return will probably screw up his rhythm and the flow of the Knicks offense but Lin is a major building block and probably will save D'Antoni's job.

He was undrafted last season. It's not that hard to look up. And the only way we get him is via trade unless he reverts to riding the pine. New York has bird rights and we only have $6.5 mil to throw at him IF we don't resign Howard, Miles, Evans and Tinsley or any of our draft picks next year.

I'm surprised he was not on KOC's list this year, He was signed by Houston on Dec 12th, four days after we signed Tinsley. Houston then waived him on December 24th and he was signed by NYC. By that time it would have put us over the cap.

Also Lin has scored the most points in his first 3 starts of any player since the 1976-77 ABA/NBA merger per Mark Stein Twitter.

Knicks are not about to let Lin go anywhere now; the ESPN announcers even said they'd considered cutting him before he went on this tear! He looks like the real deal; very smart and knows how to handle himself in any situation on the court, and wants to keep getting better. He's more athletic than I was expecting; made some great drives to the basket vs the Lakers!
