Just heard a couple tidbits on the kid...while at Harvard, he dropped 30 on UConn and Calhoun raved about him saying he could play with anyone in college. Fran Franchilla (or however you sppell his name) also said he was a top 12 talent coming out of college...so yeah, I gotta think his Harvard and Asian background hurt his draft stock
 
That makes sense. What is interesting is that two teams before the Knicks had him on their rosters and let him go.

Not to mention that there were rumors that NY was a couple weeks of cutting him before his outburst of awesomeness.

Kid should have the biggest chip on his shoulder right now.

At Portsmouth, he was having trouble driving and wasn't considered particularly physical or an outstanding scorer, so his NBA development has been somewhat Millsapian (Paperboyesque).

Watching him against the Wolves right now. Fun to watch. Him and Novak have been playing out of there minds this last 5 games

Amare no. He fits with the Knicks, and it will be great for them once he returns with Lin at the point. Melo is poison, and he will make sure they do not succeed if he's not given the credit.
 
I said what I did because the Knicks have been winning without them. Amare is a good offensive player, but the dude is Carlos Boozer's ugly step-sister on the defensive end.

Also, I know Lin deserves a lot of burn for what he's done, but how come nobody talks about Nikola Pekovic? That dude has been on one hell of a run since Minny put him in the starting lineup. He's a beast.
 
Pekovic I remember; he actually could go toe to to with Kanter. Must be some way we could pry him away from the Wolves; imagine him and Kanter TOGETHER...
 
Haven't seen anyone else Kanter could'nt push around, regardless of age or experience. Both these guys are bulls on the hardwood...
