i get that losing benefits the jazz but i don't think cody deserves to be on an nba floor, yet hardy insists on playing him relatively big minutes, some of which could go to Ace. especially right there - it was the scheduled substitution and ace had been playing extremely well. you don't HAVE to put cody in at that point.

It's a head scratcher because I don't think hardy is tanking at all. I think he actually thinks that Cody is helping to win games.

i agree with the first sentence, but i'm not sure i buy the second sentence. iow, yes, hard isn't tanking, but he's not going to go all out to win at the expense of developing young players. he's trying to do a bit of both.
