2023 NBA Draft Megathread

I remember when it looked like we were ending up 7-9 I had a few conversations with you about guys in that range and we always had Keyonte in those discussions.

Keyonte got hurt and had a bad 2nd half to his college season. That dropped him in the end. In the 1st half of his college season, he had a few stats (including FT% and steals) that compared well with Brad Beal at Florida.

I thought Keyonte would be able to score 20 ppg in the NBA. I didn't see him becoming an elite lead guard. Now it looks like that path may be on the table for him.

Already did it
Also, Clowney has looked good the last few games and has promise... but I didn't see some amazing defender out there. His rebounding numbers are embarrassingly low.

Like I've said with Taylor... talk to me in a year. I have said this is a rehab year before the year even started.

I'll also say that Keyonte is one of the guys who is the easiest for me to see how he exceeds expectations. A lot of what he needs to improve on should come with age and experience. He's a capable passer, for example, just not a very willing one. I think if he has a good coach and gets in a good environment, he could be one of the next great scoring guards.
This guy is a genius

Believe it or not but I value your opinion and learn from your posts consistently.
Thanks for the compliment, but I probably have more bad takes than good ones.

I do enjoy being part of a community where we can have our ideas challenged. Especially on the draft nobody gets it 100% right, so there is always room for humility.

I’ll admit, I saw Key as another JC and didn’t want him.
Thats strange because I was certain that you were one of the people who thought he was a steal where we picked him and was a huge fan of Key.

I remember not liking him in college due to being very inefficient. He was 37 percent from the field and had an eFG of 47%.
