I almost got hit by a car while riding my bike on a crosswalk once. I went when I was supposed to. The car was turning right and had stopped at the red light, didn't see any cars coming, and started to go and apparently didn't see me.
They came very close to hitting me.

Too bad I didn't have a gun on me so I could have executed the driver in self defense since that apparently would have been the appropriate action to many people in our country.

I was actually hit by a car while riding a bike. I was going straight when a car overtook me and made a right hand turn while I was crossing the road they were turning right onto. I basically put my arms on top of their car and started banging and yelling and I also made sure my metal pedals did a number on their front and rear passenger side doors as her car sort of pushed me into the turn she was taking. No hard impact and I was fine. It was a young woman who was a few years older than me at the time, I was like 15, and she was stunned and super apologetic. I just said she needed to pay attention and continued on my way. Scary as **** though to have a car actually run into me and for her to be so oblivious.

I feel sorry for the car...

My dad was walking home from his shift dish pigging at the pub when he was like 16, it was pitch black, street lighting hadn't been installed yet and he was coming up to the corner of his street. He heard his dads voice clear as a whistle tell him to stop. And he did. Two seconds later a car with no lights on, came flying over the curb and nature strip trying to take the corner, missed dad by inches and crashed into a parked car like 30 feet away. Now the funny bit was his dad died like 5 years earlier.
