not saying Lauri is a top 5 player or anything, but this team outside of Lauri is so *******, you'd have Keyonte show up occasionally, but we've all seen what happened when LAURI sit outs, they'd get blown out by 40 points again if LAURI sat this one out.
Statmuse says UTAH is 13-19 with Lauri this season, and 0-6 without him.

the most expensive roster in the league hovering around .500 in the weakest east we’ve seen in like a decade, after being the 1st seed and winning 64 games last year? yes it’s been bad. we’ve been playing with no hustle and no defence. i’m sorry but it hurts to watch our supposed all stars get cooked by Cody “the worst basketball player in the league” Williams. I also don’t like when we play the raptors and Mamu gets more rebounds in 10 minutes of play than our All Star Mobley does in the whole game
Absolutely zero energy. How do we break this habit of starting games like that?

Jusuf Nurkic has completely dominated allen. 9 pts like 16 rebounds and 5 stocks. Like when does this dudes professional pride getting punked by everybody. There was a time when people thought allen was like the 6th best center in the nba. Where did that guy go who'd grab 16 boards in a game and finsih around 80%.

We don't have our pick next season at all so if we go 19-63 next season either Utah or Phoenix gets a top 10 pick.
We're on pace to pick 25-28th in 2026, and the worst of us, atl, jazz in 2028 (which granted could still be top 15).
Realistically we'd have to trade Donovan or Mobley for some high end players that exceed like avdija, or a magical rookie contract that would turn into an MVP like Shai.
Not that I'm against making a major shake up. We just have to be careful about a full fire sale.
I would trade Mitchell and Allen at the deadline for assets and consider moving Garland and Mobley too.
I think we can all agree that Garland + Mitchell combo is not gonna work. We cant have two small guards that can't play any defense whatsoever. Garland and Allen will be traded 100% if we don't get into ECF at least. Cavs have to get under second apron anyways. it's inevitable.
The Jazz’s offense is legit. I’ve watched them several times this season and always come away feeling like they’re much better than their record indicates
there's a rebuild coming, we all know this...I'm no salary cap guy but know enough to know trades are tough for this team...for you guys who understand it and can take a long view of a clearly flailing franchise what will a full rebuild over the coming years look like?
We have traded all of our picks thru 2031 except 2029 i believe. Rebuilding will be impossible
Keep Mitchell, Merrill and Tyson. Literally trade everyone else by the deadline and try to make a push. If we can’t Mitchell is gone and we are nothing but dog **** without him either way.

Merrill is a solid player but I don’t understand the lineups with him as a 2/3 along with garland and mitchell. Just insanely small, easy to score on and also poor rebounding.

The stats in this game don’t show it at all but ace bailey is gonna be a good player. Made a ton of winning plays down the stretch in the 4th with rebounding and defense on garland/mitchell. Doesn’t take bad shots on offense either.
Him being like a rookie Paul George is already a huge development step tbh. Thought he would be an inefficient chucker like cam reddish but he’s bought into his role and plays like a role player right now.
