Also, out of this list, Hendricks should be quite worried. He can't guard anyone and his best talent is sitting in a corner to shoot 3s. He never slashes to the rim, there's 0 explosiveness, every player 1-5 has blown past him. I realize he's coming back from a terrible leg injury so I wouldn't really worry until maybe this time next year
There is a decent chance that Hendricks will be out of the league after his rookie contract.

Walt was the easy answer for me, and then I ultimately went with Flip for my second selection. Been disappointed in him this season, but still being as offensively talented as he's flashed as a 7'er is very unique. Year three is always a make or break time for me, so we'll see how this off-season goes.

Brice seems like the better answer, and I'll eat my crow whenever he has a big game, but I'm just still not buying him as a piece I want long-term. Cool to see Cody getting buzz in this poll after his start, but I'm not that far with him yet.

How quickly things change with Flip. Last year I thought he was a core piece for sure and now I have no clue. Hopefully he is just having a sophmore slump similar to Key and Walker and then refocused in the offseason to get back on track.

Cody still has by far the highest ceiling out of all them. He has an above-average length and athleticism for his position and his personality is a coach's dream (always moving and working according to the game schemes, never loses concentration or getting upset). The things that he is lacking right now - physical strength, confidence, specific skills - are exactly the type of things where young players are routinely getting much better after some time. I think that the Jazz will be very patient with Cody.

That's a rather unsupported statement. All of these players are still on cheap contracts and can be had next year for little.
Don’t overthink it too much, I’m not saying we have to get rid of everyone besides the two selections immediately. But only two players will be in the regular rotation next year and the org will have to start making decisions at some point as to who they’re keeping.

TLDR; just pick two lol.

I seem to be irrationally high on Collier. I still feel that he’s truly a 3-point shot away from being a special player, but I think that will take time.

I just feel in my bones he might be a guy that figures it out in year 4 all of a sudden. The combination of speed, power, and vision set him apart from a run-of-the-mill smallish guard prospect.

I think Brice could be a nice 6th man at a proper wage.

I wanna say Taylor but I’m really concerned with his acuity and I still have not seen enough in Cody’s skillet that makes his prospects as a rotation player promising.

I kinda don’t see it from Walt. You gotta be REALLY special with his profile and that’s just not a bet I’m ready to take right now. I would really hope we’d see more promise since he’s the oldest player on this list.

I wouldn't count on only 2 being in the regular rotation. There has been talk of us trying to make a splash in free agency but if we see guys continue to show progress this season then I wouldn't be surprised to see us just roll it back next season with our draft pick being the only big addition. Just adding Kessler and our draft pick plus internal growth from our youngsters should put us firmly in the playoff picture next year.

How I’d answer this is who I’d most be afraid could turn into an All Star if we traded them?

Brice has shown all-star level scoring chops, WCJ has ice in his veins and great instincts, so that’s who’d I choose in the poll.

Cody has the highest ceiling as a true two way player and Isaiah could be a generational PG if he develops a three pointer, but both I think are less likely to hit their top end then the other two.

Flip is potentially awesome on O if he gets his head right but is so limited on D that I wouldn’t be too concerned losing him.

According to the tankers, we'll definitely be flipping the switch and trying HARD to win at all costs next season, so this is a great question to ask.

In that kind of environment, none of the above guys should really be getting minutes, but I guess I'd keep Flip (every team needs a jack-of-all-trades 8th man) and WCJ (he may have a future as a reasonable backup PG and occasional spot up 2 in the league).
