I wonder if it's a contingency for Kessler potentially being gone? Because yeah it seems like it would be hard to find minutes for all 4 of those guys. I know we've played Lauri at the 3 a decent amount but it still seems kind of strained to me

This is really awkward, but at least the Jazz realize they have been a tire fire on defense.

You can get a different, cheaper 5 to help with rebound, but yeah, that will be a concern

And man, for his size and position JJJ should be a MUCH better rebounder. Not sure how to take this, tbh. Feels like something big(ger), but also feels like a reshuffling and will not be anything special.

If the Jazz are keeping Nurk and not trading him I expect him to be re-signed. He fits well next to JJJ as a rebounder and passer and shouldn't cost much as a backup quality 5 with questionable defense.
