Jaren Jackson Jr. traded to the Jazz

That's an overpaid for JJJ not gonna lie. We gotta be super convinced we can compete with him anchoring the defense but I just don't think JJJ is the answer. He can't stay out of foul trouble and will never be the most efficient guy on your team. He currently has negative OBPM and below league avg in offensive rating...

Can't believe we just overpaid for the PF version of Conley and Bane. Kudos to Memphis though for selling high. They are becoming the expert of that.

It's a pretty big underpay imo

In terms of player value, the Jazz didn't give up much. Anderson, Niang and (if we're being honest) Clayton Jr. are all journeymen. Jazz should still have a pick in the '27 draft after giving Memphis their best one and Phoenix their worst one.

I'm actually glad the Jazz still have Flip and Cody. Having Cody, Ace and JJJ gives us defensive length.

The next question is what this means for Walker now that we're taking JJJ's contract.

Specifically regarding who was included and who wasn't included I would be fascinated on how that conversation went. Did MEM value Hendricks/Clayton Jr, or that was just who we were willing to give?
