2025-2026 Tank Race Prediction Contest and Current Results Thread

If no other kings trade follows, do we think the Hunter for Keon Ellis/Schroeder trade moves the needle for them either way? I know people think highly of Ellis but haven't followed him enough to know
For the Kings or Cavs? Its a re-arranging deck chairs type deal. Although the Cavs may jump into the Giannis sweepstakes if they can move enough money to get under the second apron... or at least that's what someone inferred. Can't honestly remember who lol.

It saves the Cavs a bunch of money and may make Garland more expendable. I just don't think he has a lot of value. Nothing can save the Kings lol. They lost to the Wiz yesterday... or the other day after they pulled their starters for the entire 4th quarter.

Oh yeah talking about the Kings. Don't need it to save them, just need some juice for 2 extra wins down the stretch that can come from a shakeup.

Sacramento makes me genuinely sad.

50 games in:

1. Sacramento
2. NOP
3. IND
4. BKN
- WAS
6. UTA
7. MEM
- MIL
9. DAL
10. CHA
11. POR
12. ATL
13. LAC
14. CHI
What trades will other tanking teams make at the trade deadline? That's what I want to know. Will any of Giannis, MPJ, AD, the Kings vets, Mathurin, Ja, or Zion be moved? Maybe the Wizards buy out Khris Middleton. With this draft as loaded as it is, I can see tanking teams trying pretty hard to increase their odds of getting their hands on the top guys. Of course, wanting to move a player and finding a suitable trade partner are two different things. But we'll see soon enough.

Here are the teams Memphis plays who are also in the tank race:

  • Kings (2x)
  • Dallas
  • Indiana
  • Brooklyn
  • Milwaukee
So yeah, not too many tankers on their schedule, so maybe not a huge boost, but them dropping those Kings games could be huge.

Tank race who we still have to play:

-Pacers today (we probably win)
-Kings Feb 11th.
-Grizzlies Feb 20th
-Pelicans Feb 26th
-Pelicans Feb 28th
-Wizards Mar 5th
-Bucks Mar 7th
-Kings Mar 15th
-Bucks Mar 18th
-Wizards Mar 25th
-Pelicans Apr 7th
-Grizzlies 10th

That's A LOT of very winnable games. 11 games of teams straight up tanking. We HAVE to lose to the Pelicans all 3, split the Grizzlies, Kings, Wizards, and Bucks, and we should be at least around the 4-5th spot.
