2025-2026 Tank Race Prediction Contest and Current Results Thread

Noticed Egor Demin hasn't played the last couple games for the nets. I guess he is dealing with plantar fasciitis issues. As am I. Since september. I have just decided that im gonna deal with this for the rest of my life probably at this point.
 
I have been pretty pessimistic about the tank all year and I still am. Maybe even more so now that we made the win now trade we did.

At this point im simply hoping we can keep the pick. If I were offered the 6th pick right now and any hope of moving up and any fear of dropping were taken away right now then I would take it.

I have kind of given up on the hopes of adding AJ, DP, boozer or Wilson to the jazz. Im just hoping for Fleming or Wagler at this point. And I would be happy with that outcome. Jazz are looking like they will be a lock for the playoffs next season regardless of what happens with the pick this year. Im happy about that.
 
We have to start sitting JJJ and Lauri through the rest of the month. Key too, as we play the Pelicans 2x to close out the month.

It’s pretty inexcusable that the Jazz didn’t use the opportunity to milk the trade to keep JJJ out of games.

This is gonna be hard. Dallas might pass us. 4th is out of the question. 5th is still possible.
 
The real tanking issue that no one is talking about is that our scrubs got upgraded when we sent out TH, WCJ and Tonje and took in Vince Williams and John Konchar.

Once teams are eliminated from the play-in and start playing full scrub lineups, we may be in trouble against some of the other tank juggernauts.

Some people are talking about this (me, HH, infection, kqwin). You are correct on this point; I don’t know that our tanking lineup can compete with other tank lineups, now.

I don’t foresee the Jazz dipping into the G-League but that would probably be necessary.

I been talking about it but yes… huge issue. No tank commander.

Sorry I've missed those conversations. But that is still true.

Collier is a fine tank commander against real NBA players, but when the other team starting guard is Bub Carrington suddenly Collier isnt gonna get the job done. Albeit we all owe Bub Carrington greatly for what he did last year.

Yep.
last night we had 1 player out? Who sprained both ankles recently. Its like we aren't even really trying that hard.

Them and the Grizzlies are gonna force us to keep our foot on the brake all the way to the end.

I think Cooper might swing enough games if the Mavs let him.
