Hi guys, Celtics fan here.

We know you guys like Rondo, but most Celtics fans like him too.

We understand that Kanter and Favors are your future in the paint, and how you would love Rondo to be getting the ball to them inside.

Anyway, we Celtics fans would love to get a shot at a title with Rondo+Pierce, and where we are getting crushed is on the offensive/defensive boards.

How open would Jazz fans be to taking on KG's giant contract (which expires at the end of this season) for Millsap and Big Al's $23.5 million combined worth?

We would give you both our first round picks and whatever fillers you would like. eg: Brandon Bass, JaJuan Johnson, Avery Bradley etc...

This way you would clear the books of Big Al and Millsap, whilst getting the two first rounders to play with, and two very solid young players in Johnson and Bradley, and a tested beast of a 6th man in Brandon Bass.

I know Jazz fans want Rondo for Millsap and Jefferson, but Danny Ainge really won't move Rondo for either of them. Maybe if you gave us both of them for Rondo and a pick, or your Nets/Golden state pick +Millsap might work.

Would there be any chance of this happening?

If not, would you guys take anything else for the two of your older (they're only 27 I know) big men?

Lets try and help each other out here....and no, I'm not trying to hose you, just seeing if the cap relief would help you guys develop Kanter and Favors quicker, whilst using the picks to build with

Are you talking about 2 Celtic first round picks or do you have first round picks from a previous trade or trades?

The Jazz have no use of an expiring contract. We need players for our players not late 1st round picks. Besides Rondo the Celtics have nothing of worth for the Jazz. I don't see the Jazz and Celtics as good trading partners unless you include Rondo.

Thought you might want the cap space to go after a free agent or two...
Bass is only 4 million per year but has a player option.

What kind of players would you want in return for those two?

To the earlier reply post, we have a Clippers pick which is top 10 protected but now they are rolling it will end up more like late teens.
Then we have our own pick, if we keep struggling and just make 7th or 8th seed it will be something like 14-18.
It's potentially two top 20 picks plus Brandon Bass plus free agent space. We would probably take on a crap contract that you guys don't want either. Maybe Raja Bell?

Why would we want to "clear the books" of Millsap or even Big Al? Basically it's a trade for Bass (yuck) and your two picks. No thank you. The Jazz aren't in need of cap relief enough to give up both millsap and Big Al for non-lottery picks.

Our biggest needs are pg and wings that can shoot. We don't want mor bigs. We want wings, yours are too old. Also Big Al is a horrible fit for the Celtics. If you replace KG with Al you go from one of the better defensive teams to one of the worst defensive teams

Stop....just stop.

Please don't be a douche. I am not a Jazz fan and I wanted serious input on the idea. If you don't like it, no problem, but at least explain why.
I want to know how Kanter+Favors grow with these two guys ahead of them. Aren't they getting a combined 35 mins a game or something?
Clearing these two right now means you can go after free agents next year, and you get Bass and two first round picks, and your choice of fillers.
It's not just clearing the cap space, it means you guys probably go down to the bottom of the West, and thus get a lottery pick from missing the playoffs, as you are still in rebuilding mode. Getting another top 10 pick would certainly help you whilst developing Kanter+Favors.
What other teams could you clear that cap space with to dump their two contracts- they are both too good to keep you out of the lottery yet not good enough to get anywhere in the playoffs because their supporting cast sucks.
Kanter and Favors are nice, but they ain't taking you to title town either.
Cap space, 2 extra first round picks, your own pick going higher= not the worst scenario for the Jazz right now?

You are not getting our bigs, you are getting one big in Bass, you get KG for the cap room to go after some elite wings that you mention to help your young big men. You are also getting picks, whilst improving your own pick to a possible lottery position.
The Celtics have great defense even without KG. What we need is rebounding and scoring in the paint a lot more than KG's defense.
Millsap would replace KG and Big AL would replace Jermaine Oneal for us, hopefully making us a legit contender this year and next.

Oh, what the heck. I say do it. This team is going no where with Al and Milsap. Maybe we could work out a $5 buyout of KG so he could join the lakers, and KOC is a genius in the draft, especially with those early teens to early twenty picks. So I can't see how this wouldn't turn out well for Jazz.

Plus it would be fun to watch the Boston Jazz battle the Chicago Jazz in the first round.

Ummmm... I'd do it. I've been hoping that KOC has been looking at options to get out of either Al's or Harris' contract a year early for a while.

s it really as bad as you're making it out to be?
What are the Jazz realistically getting for these guys with Big Al having 1.5 years left and Millsap having 3?
Top ten picks? No
All Star talent in return? No
Kanters and Favors stuck in no mans land? possibly, but they don't want to bench the two guys they're paying 23.5 million to do they?
So move them , get two picks in a deep draft, an excellent 6th man in Bass, and a basically guaranteed lottery pick this year, as well as your pick of the Celtics younger talent from the 2012 draft.

Id consider trading Jefferson for picks, but never Millsap. We could get much more in my opinion, especially with the stats that Al is putting up, and the contract that Millsap has. It would be nothing short of retarded to trade ~35ppg/20rpg, aka our main offensive weapons, for just non-lottery picks. There are plenty of teams throughout the NBA that could use a center or a PF. The only way I can see the celtics and the jazz become trade partners, is if Rondo is brought to us.

You don't know me very well. Your idea sucks. Nothing more to add.

Like I said, I'm okay with it. So what are we waiting for? I've got a call into Kevin, he must be in the airport or something, cause it went straight to voicemail, but he'll call me right back. Have you reached out to Danny yet? Should we make the trade now or wait till the all-star break?

First off, both Al and Millsap have 1.5 years remaining. Secondly, the Jazz can do better than 2 late first round picks and a bench big for Al and Millsap. Hell, the Jazz have four lottery picks from the last two drafts and potentially two more coming this year. What the **** do they need two more late firsts for? Third, the Jazz have all the cap space they need in 2013 (Al, Paul, Devin, Raja and Earl all come off the books, and there are some really good FA options that summer), and can continue shopping Al and Millsap until they get a better deal. Fortunately, there are 28 other teams in the NBA.

Your offer is ****, plain and simple.
