Why he dunked....instead of taking a 3 pointer!

I might be a rookie on this forum, but when it comes to basketball knowledge, I have a great deal of it. Ive played at the college level and I suspect many on this board are just fans...

If you are not in the NBA, or an owner or an NBA coach... you are just a fan.
Even if you've played at the college level.

...I didn't know calling a person a "dummy" was name calling! Isn't "dummy" an adjective and not a noun???

Are you trying to deflect. Isn't that rule one, when you are wrong, start to argue semantics.
Are you trying to bait me into calling you names?
I will, in case you are wondering.

Do you have NBA experince...my guess is no...

Im not just talking about the NBA, Im talking about basketball as a competitive sport overall. Having experience, I feel I have enough knowledge to decipher between a bonehead play and a smart one. I feel Martells play had some substance to it.

It sure sounded like you were saying many posters here are "just" fans, and you are not "just" a fan because you played college ball.
If I did not play college ball it must mean I'm not smart enough to truly understand the game, but you can because playing in college makes you smarter. Sure it gives you some experience, but that does not make you a more knowledgeable fan than other fans just for that reason. There are plenty of players with talent that don't really get the game, but can sure jump and are tall. That doesn't mean they really get the game.

My point about the NBA, was that if you don't play, coach, or own in the NBA... you are "just" a fan too. I never claimed to be any of those.

As to Webster's play, it was dumb. If you are down 3, and there is not enough time to foul the other team for another possession, and this will be your last shot... you have to take a 3 pointer, period. You have to play the odds, the best odds to tie the game. Driving for a dunk worth 2 points and hoping for a foul is just dumb basketball. That counts for H.S., College, NBA, Intramurals, and Backyard basketball.

I hate it when idiots call me a retard, you idiot.
Only idiat morans call people names, jerk.

That's it, dammit! I challenge you to a lift off. In a high school gym, in front of all the teenagers. I promise I won't call the cops! Bring it!!!!!1!!!

Who do you think I am? Conan?

I refuse to outlift you, even though I could easily outlift you with my pinkie. You almost had me when you included the teenagers, but then I remembered I'm not Trout.... and I really don't believe you about the cops.

It's called a "Pump Off", you mongoloid idiots. Not to be confused with the teenage years you spent hiding in your room looking at the lingerie section of the Sears catalog, or the double date you had with Archie.

BINGO! And I might add, YMCA and school yard basketball, too!
