I would not take this if it were real.

1. Replacing Jefferson with Gasol does not give the young guys any more minutes.
2. Gasol will not play as well with Millsap in my opinion
3. Gasol is old
4. Not a Steve Blake fan and this trade, imo, does not fix any of the position needs of the Jazz.
 
I would take it because its an upgrade but I would be looking for a third team because we do not really want Gasol or Steve Blake. Gasol is more valuable and better than Millsap. But this gets less playing time for Favors and Kanter. I guess I would like this trade if we were trading Jefferson as well for a wing/pg or we were trading Kanter/Favors for an awesome player to fill another need. Big man rotation of Gasol/Favors/Kanter is as solid as any team. So if we got a solid PG or SF for Jefferson/Harris then we would have a really good team, but thats a big if.
 
I think the trade should be considered if salaries match. The reason I would do it is because Gasol will demand so much more after this season is over. You will have teams willing to trade actual talent to the Jazz in return for Gasol. It would have to be a team with a lot of cap room though.
