Following potential 2012 draftees

If we are talking potential, I agree, talking real world "most likely to pan out over Miller" I'd take Robinson, Barnes and MKG over him in the top 5. I also think Lillard and Rivers will have better careers as well.

Again, Miller has great potential but, IMO, he's the most likely to have a thread titled "Can the _________experiment end" if we draft him. Rich mans CJ Miles, IMO.

Whoa .. I've been high on Miller's talent and down on his desire/work ethic. But to say rich man's CJ is a bit harsh.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist said that he plans to stay at Kentucky beyond this season.
"I'm graduating here. I'm not going nowhere," Kidd-Gilchrist said after Saturday's game against Vanderbilt. "I'm staying at Kentucky."
When those around him chuckled, Kidd-Gilchrist added: "I'm dead serious. I don't know why y'all laughing."
Kidd-Gilchrist will have to convince John Calipari that he should stay.
“He’s got to come up with some reasons he’s coming back and convince me,” Calipari said. “Here’s why: What if he got hurt and I’m out there convincing him to come back? What if that happened? Or something happened to him that all of the sudden really hurt him and his draft-ability and his future?
“It’s hard to live with yourself, unless you’re just trying to win five more games or ‘How many games can I win before I retire?’ This is about these young people.”
Calipari said that former one-and-done stars like John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins and Eric Bledsoe often say to him, “Man, I wish I could have stayed three or four years.
“But there’s opportunities that arise. Just like Bill Gates, when he said, ‘You know what? I’m done with school; I’m going to chase my dreams’ and in his case, change the world. Steve Jobs did the same thing; left school and went out and changed the world.
“You have opportunities. You’ve got to look at them and figure out what’s right.”

This just shows why calapri is a scumbag. Who tells a kid not to come back to school? Calapri needs to be banned from the ncaa ASAP. If he gets hurt. Let me see thats why athletes get INSURANCE. The day calapri is banned from the ncaa or get hit by a car will be a great day for me. Scumbag all around. Education is KEY for any young person future. What happens if player a from kentucky goes pro andf get hurt his 1st year? That money aint going last forever. Calapri needs to go to nba where he cant stop being a pimp for these young kids

You're such a damn idiot. Truth is, if this read that Cal was talking MKG into staying another year, you would be calling him a scumbag for telling a kid not to go pro.
Your argument would be what if MKG got hurt, blah, blah ..

Keep hatin' .. Deron Williams is not walking through that Illini door.

If we pick him I certainly hope I'm terribly wrong. I guess we will see in a few years. If I'm wrong feel free to never let me hear the end of it.

Have you watched Miller play? He plays nothing like Miles at all.

Yup, I certainly have......again, reading comprehension. Didn't once say he played like CJ Miles at all.....insinuated his career will be similar to. Lots of talent wasted and lots of "give him time/this is the year he breaks out".

You're making a habit of reading my posts wrong, "it's not you, it's me"?

That seems like a pretty baseless prediction at Miller.

You may be right Bodhi. I've consistently said that Miller;

a) could possibly have the highest potential in this draft
b) could blow it because he doesn't do what it takes to get there

And CJ Miles was a 2nd round pick. I still don't know why people act like he has "All the talent in the world".

That seems like a pretty baseless prediction at Miller.

Baseless? Because Miller has a lot of potential but doesn't show a lot of desire or work ethic to reach it and may never pan out to be a solid NBA player? That's my prediction. In what way is that baseless? Take CJ out of the mix and just go off of what I just typed. Baseless in what way?

Baseless because I have yet to hear any complaints about this from Baylor or many scouts during his freshman year. The guy is coming off ACL surgery and is performing solidly.
