That being said, Al and Sap had one of the worst games I've ever seen by them today....so I wasn't completely wrong.

Anyone that says Kanter had a bad game tonight either only looked at box scores or dont understand defensive bball. Kanter was terrific on defense and shut down cousins who was eating jefferson alive. Also Sacramento was just eating up rebounds before kanter got in. Kanter was just fantastic on defense and the boards. Favors was great as well.

I want to reiterate... man the young guns looked good. Favors had several great moves only for him to miss at the last second at the rim... if those start going in, and with this already strong defensive ability... man
 
Millsap and Jefferson looked like crap.

Millsap was useless and Jefferson was ineffective. Our starting bigs only managed 40 percent shooting, 10 rebounds, and no... NOOOOOO FREE THROW ATTEMPTS.

For a team that struggles with their perimeter game, it was amazing that we were still in this even though our bigs were playing like pansies.

Thanks to Harris, Howard, Burks, and CJ for bringing it.

Al, Paul, and Hayward? How many more games do you jokes need to choke away?
 
Tonight's "I'm way in over my head with this coaching thing" Play of the Game was brought to you by Ty Corbin.

What play does Corbin draw up out of a timeout? Why a postup for Al on the left-block of course!
The funny/sad thing is - like he had all night - Cousins simply mandhandled "Big Al" and pushed him not only off the block but all the way out to the 3-point line. He moved "Big Al" as if he were on roller skates.

Harris realized the "set play" had broken down and did a nice job creating - he drove the lane and found Hayward open in the corner for a good look at a three.

It's ridiculous how Ty's mindset has become when all else fails - get the ball to Big Al. I can imagine Ty losing his keys or forgeting his wallet - and the first thought to pop into his mind would be to go to postup Big Al on the left block.

I agree with you, but
The problem is there's no go to player. Al is the only one who can legitamitly go one on one and he sucked today. Who else do you draw a play for? Howard? He got a charging call late too. Sap? Oh no.
A pick n roll would've been the best play though.

Exactly - in the history of the franchise, late game baskets have never been about going to a single-player and getting out of his way so he can go 1-on-1. In these situations it's either pick&roll, give&go, or something where we attack or go to the basket. If we have a Kobe or Dirk - sure I'd be alright with an iso but we don't - yet Ty either doesn't realize this or isn't creative enough to draw up something besides a postup to Big Al. I think it's a combination of the two, but I blame Ty for this mess well before I blame Big Al.

A pick n roll is still only marginally better.
Best scenario is that Al shoots a free throw jumper.
Likely scenario is they sag off Al and give Devin the shot. Devin is incredibly terrible in crunch time.

But yeah I agree that late game baskets should not be one on ones when you don't have a star.
