Tyrone Corbin right name for the future?

I agree that Ty has a real dilemma when it comes to Jefferson and Milsap. He canot just sit them on the bench to play Favors and Kanter. Both are quality vetrans who have earned their time. (Plus Jefferson is our only day in and day out reliable scorer.) The solution here is obvious to me; one of them HAS to be traded. Short term pain for long term gain. No way around this.

What baffles me is why Raja Bell and Josh Howard are each logging so much playing time now. Neither one figures in the Jazz's future plans, so why are they taking so much time from Burks and Hayward? Howard is not the player he used to be, and he may be better than Hayward at this point, but if he is, it is only marginally so. Ty seems lately to have a woody for Howard. Why he played so much time in Miami game is beyond me. He didn't give that much to offense, and it's not like he shut James down. Actually, I think one of the most advanced part of Hayward's game now is his defense. Better than Howard, I think. Giving the playing time to marginally contributing vetrans, who simply don't have the right to whine over playing time like Milsap and Jefferson do, over younger players who we need to develop is what pisses me off most about Corbin.

Then, when the young players are in the game, Corbin doesn't use them. He buries Hayward at the spot up, never runs him off picks (despite the fact that he shoots well when coming off a pick and he's not at his best as a spot up shooter), and almost never run a play for him, totally misusing him in my opinion. Then, they almost never run plays for Favors--he can be in the game minutes and never get the ball down in the post.

When CJ plays well, he is dynamic and can really help the team. He is athletic and talented. BUT, it's time to give up on him. He'll never be a consistent contributor. Either play him big minutes every night, use him as a limited minute Vinnie Johnson type, or get rid of him. I'm all for the third alternative and can live with the second, but no way in hell the first.

So, in summary, here's my conclusion:

1. Trade Jefferson (it pains me to lose our most reliable scorer, but I don't think him and Favors are a good tandem, because both need the ball in the low post to thrive).
2. Trade CJ
3. Play Bell and/or Howard strictly in reserve roles. (One might need to start if Burks isn't ready to start).
4. Change how Hayward is used in offense. Play his 30 a night.
5. Actually run plays for Favors. Play him 30 a night.
6. Get Burks and Kanter into game more, 20 minutes minimum each.

All the fans from turkey thinks that give Kanter 40 min. He will give you 30 + 20 every night = championship.

I also think he should be playing PG.

Everyone knows all the realistic Turk fans come here. Every single one of them.

I'd like to see him with a full training camp.
If you are teaching the wrong dogma, is it a good thing to have longer to teach it?

I hear you Cyrone, not saying you are wrong at all. Not a fan of changing coaches often. However, when years ago i supported that Jerry needed to go, the complaint against
me was "Who could we possibly get to replace a HOF coach". Well for starters Jerry was NOT a HOF coach when he was hired. Secondly, It might take 2-3 coaching changes to find the right one.
I just don't believe Tyrone is the right one. Didn't feel that way at the start of this season, but do now.

whatever enes is playing in utah,,its not his game,,Ty is doing the same **** what our idiot national team coach Ene was doing. If enes keep plays like this, nobody will remember his name 5 years from now,he is gonna lose all his skills, lose his confident.he never takes any shots, they never pass him the ball, all he do is park in the paint, wait for rebounds abd put backs,i hope they trade him soon somewhere where they can use his skills better

I keep hearing this "we need to develop our young guys" over and over again. I agree, but by giving them 30+ min a night right now isn't the best thing for our future, but priority for our future means we need to maintain or increase the value of who we have.

I HATE the Millsap/Jeffeson duo on the court at the same time. I've seen enough and it won't work. Take either one of our starters and pair them with Favors or Kanter, and suddenly we can get rebounds. Ty should be doing more of that, but he shouldn't lose his job over it.

However, to say we should fire Ty because he's playing the vets too much is, oddly, short sighted in player development.

Jefferson's value is MUCH higher than most on these boards believe. It's amazing how much better Al passes when we put Howard on the floor, who actually makes cuts. If we can continue to get his assists numbers up, we'll get a great player in return.

Millsap needs to find his shot again, which he somewhat did last night.

Devin needs to keep playing this tough and aggressive for the rest of the season as he's done in the last few games.

Do I want all three of these guys on our team next year? Hell no.

Those are our biggest trade chips, and if you switch out the minutes they get right now with bench minutes, then you screw us over getting anything in return via trade.

Will we make a trade by the deadline? Not sure, but Paul or Al are out of here come the start of 12-13 season, and if Ty lets them sit with 2nd string minutes, then we'll get in return what most people in these forums think they're worth, not much.

The result would mean less relevant talent around the young core that everyone seems so pissed isn't getting enough playing time. Talk about hindering a young core's development.
