Utah send to Orlando: Jefferson, Hayward(or burks) and Golden State pick
New jersey sends to Orlando: Brook Lopez and multiple picks
New jersey sends to Utah: Marshon Brooks and Kris Humphries
Orlando Sends Utah: JJ Reddick and Ryan Anderson
Orlando Send New Jersey: Dwight Howard

Net result: New Jersey gets Dwight in exchange for Marshon Brooks, Kris Humphries, Brook Lopez and picks

Utah gets Ryan Anderson, jj Reddick, Kris Humphries and Marshon Brooks in exchange for Jefferson, Haywayrd(or burks) and our GS pick

Orlando gets: Brook Lopez, Al Jefferson, Hayward(or burks) and multiple high picks

Why Utah does this: We all Know Favors is the future and he needs more time so sending Jefferson packing frees up time for him. Everyone knows you will not get equal value for Jevevrson but the thing is we do not NEED equal value. We just need to fill the other holes this team has currently. Namely outside shooting and a potential stud perimeter scorer in Brooks. Hayward or Burks are both promising and appealing but Utah gets back marshon Brooks who as a rookie has already proven himself a capable perimeter scorer with good upside. Utah CANNOT shoot so they get back one of the best shooting big men in the game right now in Ryan Anderson AND JJ Reddick who is not only a knock down shooter but a capable defender. They also get Humphries back who is a good back up big man but his contract of 8 million expires and would be off the books at the end of the year any way.

Why New Jersey does this: they get Dwight Howard of course

Why Orlando does this: They would have two of the top 5 centers in the league on the court at the same time which no other team besides the lakers could boast. They get a promising young wing player in Hayward plus they will get a lottery pick from Utah and New Jersey in what will be a deep draft this year to further build out their roster.

What do you think??
Yes I have a lot of time on my hands

Marshon Brooks is an extreme ball hog.
Ryan Anderson and Kris Humphries will take time away from Favors.

Brooks is no better prospect than Burks and Hayward. Brooks plays on a worse team with a better player.

And that's the best player the Jazz get in trading Jefferson AND the GSW pick, not to mention a prospect?

Jazz trade one big for two, and that'll surely free up time for all the bigs, having one more big on the roster.

This is a lateral move for the Jazz at best. I would consider it a step backwards. Need to add to the assets, not use them to move laterally or get role players.

1st off al jefferson is not a top 5 center,LMAO. 2nd why should the nets do this? Dwight will go to nets in the offseason and they can keep lopez and brooks. A lineup of

dwill
brooks/marrow
green/brooks
lopez
dwight

Thats a top flight team and add in jason kidd who wants to backup dwill and they will be ballin in brooklyn.PS whoever said brooks is a ballhog most not watch net games. He is a very good young player. Twice the player as that scrub hayward already

So since all you jazz fans are in love with favors let me ask you an important question. When is he actually going start producing? Im sorry but i dont ever see him being nothing but a quality backup on a contending team. Even in college he was all hype

Now you've done it.

Obviously you've never seen Brooks play it's painful to watch. Brooks is one of the most selfish players in the NBA, and a bigger chucker then Cj. How does getting Anderson and Humphries help find minutes for Favors. Also I'd swap Reddick for Morrow, nets can also receive Cj for all I care.

Favors will produce when he gets minutes and plays run for him. Other than rebound Jefferson's triple team miss.

Look every team needs four bigs. There is no pressure to play Anderson and/or Humphries the minutes that Jefferson gets. Favors would take those 30 minutes or so and Anderson and Humphries would get the left over minutes. Do you want just Favors and Kanter to play ALL the minutes???

This is hilarious. The guy is shooting 45%, 36% from 3, gets over 2 assists/game and almost 4 rebounds per game Has a PER of over 15 and he is a ROOKIE. He can chuck all he wants if he puts up these numbers. The difference is he MAKES shots. Cj does not.

Is it a requirement to be a d-bag to stick around on this site? I swear it's like feeding piranhas when somebody posts something new. Dudes must just lurk on this website waiting to "teach a lesson" to some unsuspecting poster.

As for the trade idea, I like getting Reddick and Anderson, I don't really want Brooks over Burks or Hayward, and Kris Humphries doesn't sweeten the deal much for me either. It is a pretty original idea though, and it definitely addresses some needs.

Your question of why would the Nets do this is silly in light of what New York did last year? Of course there is the CHANCE that Orlando is stupid enough to do nothing and let him walk for nothing but that is unlikely. They can either hope they get him in free agency or GUARANTEE they get him for Lopez and some filler

We all know we will not get equal value for Jefferson. Are you already forgetting the Jazz got him for Koufus basically?? Jefferson will never be able to carry a championship team. The jury is still out on Favors as well but we won't know until we give him the time. He has far more tools than Jefferson to be dominant. Outside shooting is of utmost importance. The Jazz have none of it right now. This is about trading Jefferson to create a more well rounded TEAM. Humphries contract expires at the end of the year so he is a 20 game rental anyway but Anderson is a great value on a cheap contract
Most of the trade ideas I see on this forum are completely ludicrous and unrealistic. You have to give up something of worth to get something. We can't trade CJ Miles for Chris Paul.

And in your trade scenario, the Jazz are getting??? Role players and an expiring? All at the expense of another prospect and draft pick? Or, in other terms, the Jazz give up interior scoring for outside shooting. A wash. Anderson and Millsap are redundant, and can't play together, thus their perceived combined strength is negated.

Jefferson has more value than when the Jazz traded for him (essentially two first round picks). Shorter contract, no injury issue as opposed to long contract, ACL injury.
