I'm almost as happy about getting rid of Koufos as I am about acquiring Jefferson. Nice bonus.
This guy was never going to amount to anything....I mean, he might make a great member of society and be a great father, but on the court he wasn't going to do ****.
I think he has potential to be a decent backup still, he looked a lot stronger in the Summer League, and that should help.

as i die hard illini fan i was amazed at how many jazz fans were liking him after he was drafted..Knew he was never going to amount to anything but a oneor 2 nba contract and then off to europe where he belongs...

Well, I thought Koufos would do well this year. I believe he'll come into his own.

I still think Koufos can be a decent backup center because (despite his performance last season) he can shoot the ball and has a nice touch around the basket.
However, I'd rather have Fesenko than Koufos, and $1.3 mil this year and $2.2 mil next year is alot for a 3rd-string center when you're already over the tax.
