Why having Bell gives Burks more time

Yeah it sounds crazy, but you'll have to follow me on this.

1) Is the team better with Burks on the floor or Bell?
Answer: Burks
2) As we go down the stretch, we'll play the vets more. Does playing the vets actually help the Jazz win?
Answer: No
3) Does Ty think it does?
Answer: Yes
4) When the Jazz lose a majority of the next 17 games because of 1,2, and 3, we'll start to realize that there is no way we can get into the playoffs. After that happens, Ty will revert to garbage time and get Burks and Hayward all the minutes on the wings because Raja and Howard will suffer from adductor strains, stomach flus, and other veteran injuries.


So basically:
Burks getting ~25 minutes a night for the remainder 7 games = 175 minutes.
Burks getting ~7 minutes a night for the next 24 games = 168 minutes


In short, ****!

Now that is a spin job if I have ever seen one. The reality is that there is no guarantee that Ty will ever play Burks the minutes he deserves regardless of our record or Burks production.

Well after the Jazz have tanked far enough by Ty thinking that he's not tanking, then the veterans will start to get injured...Burks gets time by default.
 
Burks played a half of a quarter against Denver and scored 15 points. Ty rewarded him with two DNP's after that game. If Burks goes off again and shows off what an idiot Ty has been this season, he may not get to play the rest of the year.
 
I'm holding out hope that the only reason Bell is still on the team is because the Clippers had Nick Young dangled at them from Washington and wouldn't pull the trigger on that rumored Bell deal. I'm hoping that this team is sick of Bell's ******** and they just buy him out and move on.

But that's fantasy land.
 
If Bell continues to play 20+ minutes a night then this team really did send the message than bitching and whinning is the best way to get minutes. Showcasing him for a potential trade was my only hope than Corbin was not a terrible coach. If Bell continues to get minutes then that just shows that Corbin has no control of the players on this team.

And that is a bad sign for the future because I'm not sure the GM or Owner are capable of admitting they made a mistake an actually firing a head coach. Hell how long has it been since the HC of the Jazz was actually fired. Layden--quit. Sloan--quit. Since there is no chance in hell Corbin is quitting anytime soon, It may be a long time before we have a decent HC in here.

This is the fantasy land I have been living in. I've been too frustrated to even talk about it.

It's a fantasy shared by a lot of people. I hope Bell is absolutely humiliated by the fact he was shopped around the league and NO ONE wanted him. The Jazz should either buy him out or just waive him. It would be funny to see no one claim his sorry arse.
 
Keeping Bell is not good news for Burks.

No ifs ands or buts.

Bell is only eating away PT that could be given to someone else... Namely, Alec Burks.

WHAT IF....we sent Bell to the D-league and see if he can score more than 5 points to prove himself. I liked how Mavs almost sent Odom to the d-league LOL, Raja definitely deserves it.

I think 3 points is a more realistic goal.

Just a few nights ago didn't he post a 27 min 1 point performance? Jeez, how is that even possible? Has that ever been done? Even Tag or Felton Spencer would have managed more than 1 point in almost 30 mins, right?

I'm not watching any more Jazz games until I see box scores that show Burks with more playing time than CJ Miles. At least Raja doesn't shoot every ****ing time he touches the damn ball. CJ Giricek has got to go!

I'm serious, no more Jazz games for me until this changes.

Lol, it's true. CJ and Howard are me first players that don't really make the team on the floor better. At least with Howard you get good defense.
CJ almost always goes 1 on 2/3 and it's ridiculously stupid.
