I'll be there tonight. Go Jazz. **** you guys.
I should point out that I wasn't expecting some crazy moves, but the idea of shipping out CJ and Bell for picks or garbage or a half-eaten sandwich just to get them out of here was very appealing to all of us, and I find it bizarre that it couldn't get done. I'm sure there's an explanation, we'll just never know what that is. The teams that we heard about doing business with the Jazz (Clips, Spurs, Nets) all made moves for players that were similar to what they would've gotten from us. San Antonio ended up with SJax (instead of the rumor about Josh Howard), the Clippers landed Nick Young (instead of Raja), and the Nets got Gerald Wallace over CJ Miles. All three of those guys are upgrades over what we were offering, save for maybe Nick Young.
My frustration still lingers. This is why the thread is directed at the Jazz organization, not just O'Connor. I'm not going to jump on that bandwagon. However it's clear that Ty Corbin has no idea what he's doing, and O'Connor try as he might, could not save this team from Corbin's nonsense. Greg Miller doesn't give a **** about basketball, and likely won't take notice of what's happening here until there's a significant drop it ticket and merchandise sales.
Keeping CJ and Bell on this team makes absolutely no sense. They bring nothing to the table. Corbin has this false notion that the Jazz are a playoff team, which is bad enough. But what's worse, he thinks the key to making the playoffs is leaving our young guys on the bench to rot.
At least be happy KOC isn't making dumb trades like Nets and Bucks.
At least those teams are trying to improve. I'd rather try to improve and fail, than be content with failing and not trying to improve at all.
