I have a feeling that after this game a lot of Jazz fanz will say that we should have taken K. Thomps... The kid is looking good the last couple of games.
No, I am very pleased with The Four. The success of others will not take away from that.

Thompson has been looking good, but burks is better and was the right pick.
I would pick burks over thompson everytime and if burks gets minutes like last night when they play golden state then i bet he plays better than thompson.

Except there is one minor issue, Thompson was off the board before the Jazz picked Burks. I still feel like 3 years from now Burks will be the better player. Thompson might be the better shooter, but Burks will be the better player.

I'd take Burks over Thompson and it's not even close.
Thompson will be a servicable role player/spot starter and a solid shooter.
I'm beginning to think Burks will be an All Star. His body control and knack for getting to the rim is almost Kobe-like. Opposing teams can't make adjustments for players who can do that.

I just don't like looking at Thompson's face. Just for that Burks was the right pick.
Burks and Thompson's per 48 #'s are nearly identical except that Burks gets to the FT line way more, and Thompson shoots way more 3's (and makes them).

the Jazz could have had another lotto pick if they would have only traded Raja or CJ!
The Warriors were willing to give up Klay if only we were willing to give up Raja!
Or maybe some of these folks are suggesting that we should have taken Klay instead of Kanter?
Either way, I'm happy with Burks. The jazz did the best they could in last year's draft. Kanter and Burks were clearly the best options at the times they were drafted.
I would have loved Lebron James at #3. Unfortunately, he wasn't available.
I'll take Kanter at #3 over anyone else drafted after him. I'd also take Burks over everyone else.
I disagree w/the way we've handled Raja. But I cannot disagree w/the way KOC drafted last year. He could not have done any better and he surely could have done a lot worse.
Some folks will never be happy. Burks is fine. Klay might be good too. But Burks is plenty fine and no one should be second guessing the Burks pickup.
