What's new

Warriors @ Jazz Sat. 3/17 7pm (mt) GAME THREAD

Maybe the vets have continued to whine, Corbin's giving them (Miles particularly) a chance by starting them, and if they suck, he'll pull them, play Hayward and Burks 25+ each, and tell the former to shut the **** up.

Yes. I want burks with Hayward starting tonite since al is out

Very fun to watch. The Tinsley-Burks-Hayward-Millsap-Favors lineup is probably my favorite right now.

That lineup was great the other night. i have been so focused on the youth this season that i tend to forget the fact that Millsap is really awesome and fun to watch. Millsap is the perfect 3rd big to have around. i hope he stays.

Nah, Hayward needs to come off the bench. Hayward will still defer to Howard (or Howard won't pass the ball). Burks and Hayward playing together is practice for the future.

I agree with that. Hayward and, specially, Burks in the first unit simply won't get enough touches.

I agree about Millsap and have liked the sound of somehow keeping Millsap to have a three big rotation of Millsap, Favors, and Kanter. If we could get a younger and quicker Tinsley (for Defense) plus a quality wing with great shooting ability, I'd be in heaven.

that i like....or just replace milsap with Kanter,,give the youngs starter time,,its a win win situation
Ya, either way. Favors-Millsap and Favors-Kanter are fine with the rest of that lineup. I'd prefer if Kanter got his touches a little further out to work on his in-game jumper, allowing Favors to continue to work on his back-to-the basket and face-up game from the short corner, but that's a bit nit-picky perhaps.

The key is Burks-Hayward though. When Burks is playing smart and Hayward is playing confidently, they both play very beautifully, individually and together. Again, it's very fun to watch. Favors and Kanter require a lot more polish (the potential is there), and Millsap can provide a little bit of whatever's lacking, especially on offense.

Was it ever confirmed that Bell complained about playing time? I thought he was just complaining about the gameplan?

He did say that he was happy for Burks, and it wasn't about him playing more in that Philly game(or himself less). Who knows what is going on behind the scenes though.

Why would he pout that much about the game plan?

Is Bell out too? I know, I know...a real fan should know these things...

Yes. According the Deseret News, the starting lineup is Harris, Miles, Howard, Millsap, Favors.

Yeah, Miles is starting. Pitchforks at the ready.

On another note, Bell isn't traveling with the team to LA either, so we might even see a C.J. Miles road start. Which is about the worst possible thing I can imagine.

Edit: And no Earl Watson tonight either, not sure if that was mentioned already, but it was expected.

Those guys got outrebounded by the Bucks 54-35 last night. Luc and Gooden had 28 between them. I'm guessing that will be a point of focus for Jackson...

Can't seem to get a bead on weather or not Curry is in this one.

I was under the impression he wasn't for all the post-ups and stopping of cuts and screen setting. Raja seems like a guy who prides himself on his off-ball action. That's why I always thought it was ironic everyone was mad about his scuffle with Corbin, because he was complaining about the same thing most posters on the board were complaining about.
