What's new

Warriors @ Jazz Sat. 3/17 7pm (mt) GAME THREAD

If we can come out of this month with a winning record I will be a believer. I just don't think that will happen. Next two games are against Lakers on the road, and Thunder at home. We will be lucky to split that.

Here's where I'm at.

Been waiting for the young guys and Harris to pull their heads out/develop all year. Now maybe I'm premature but that game from Favors was the kind of thing a guy can say it all started from. Harris has clearly been much better for a little while and is able now to integrate his game which a lot of people didn't think could happen. Hayward is looking, again, like a very good piece. Nobody on this board is uncomfortable with Burks seeing a lot of burn. Kanter is already way better than Fes ever was.

The veterans on this team are not scrubs. There is no player aside from Carrol that can't contribute. Utah was looking kinda good earlier on even though none of the young guys were playing or playing well. Raja does play Kobe well. Howard does usually play good D, get after boards and has a nice post game. CJ is unnecessary and therefore can't hurt us with an off night. All of those guys are capable of competing. Utah plays very, very good defense when their heads are in the game.

Corbin is not afraid to lean on these young guys contrary to popular opinion. CJ and Howard started tonight but were ghosts in the 2nd half. Utah is very deep and will not be ruined by an injury, and is also less likely to sustain a serious injury for the same reason.

Finally it looks like a couple of GMs have tanked this season including GS and DEN. Houston might be pretty good and could be my monkey wrench.

So, like with the A-Team, it looks like the plan could be coming together.

That Warriors draft pick is drifting further away, but Favors is coming along nicely thank you. Big rebounding numbers from Kanter too.

It's going to be close. The other bottom feeders are just as bad as Golden State. The Warriors also have a great home court, which should help them win a few extra games that the other crappy teams wont have.

It's a bitter sweet win. On the one hand, the GS pick gets further away and even more so after I saw how terrible the GS team looks without a PG.

On the other hand, Favors/Hayward/Burks are getting big time clutch minutes and are providing. If we get into the playoffs, I really hope it's the 7th spot and not the 8th.

The only top team in the West I could see Utah maybe beating in a best of 7 would be the Clippers. I can see sweeps if they play the Thunder, Spurs, or Lakers.

I was rooting for a loss but nevertheless the young guys look awesome - what a feeling to see some return on investment, huh?
