Notes and quotes from the Jazz's 99-92 overtime victory over Golden State on Saturday night at EnergySolutions Arena:

-- The Jazz outrebounded the Warriors, 65-40. Derrick Favors (17), Enes Kanter (13) and Paul Millsap had at least 12 rebounds. The Jazz grabbed 20 offensive rebounds, including six by Favors and four by Kanter, who played only 20 minutes. Said coach Tyrone Corbin:, "We didn't shoot a great percentage, but to get 20 offensive rebounds, it means we were in the right position ... [and] preparing ourselves to get those rebounds. It shows a lot of hustle."

-- The Jazz limited Golden State to 41-percent shooting and 41 points after halftime. "Guys were doing a good job of trying to stay between their man and the basket," Corbin said. "We had a few breakdowns, especially early in the game. But I thought, in the fourth quarter and the overtime, we did a great job of getting up on guys, sliding our feet and making that extra effort." After making two of their first three attempts from the three-point line, the Warriors finished 6-for-25.

-- Asked about Favors' game-tying three-point play with 27.8 seconds remaining, Golden State coach Mark Jackson said, "Situations like that -- worst-case scenario -- you should force the guy to take two free throws. You can't give him the basket and the foul. You're better off just letting him go and dunk it. Just a bad play." For the record, Andris Biedrins committed the foul that sent Favors to free-throw line.

-- Newly-acquired Richard Jefferson scored five points on his first two possessions as a member of the Warriors. But he ended up with only nine points on 2-for-14 shooting in 38 minutes. Jefferson went 0-for-2 in overtime. "He's going to be fine," said Jackson. "He missed some shots. He was a little out of sync. But we are not worried about him. We know exactly who he is."

-- David Lee finished with 18 points and seven rebounds for Golden State. He scored the Warriors' final seven points of the first half and their first four in the third quarter -- 11 straight in that stretch. "In overtime ... they overwhelmed us," Lee said.

-- With back-up point guard Earl Watson sidelined with a sprained ankle, Jamaal Tinsley played 23 minutes. He scored 13 points and handed out two assists. Tinsley has now produced 19 points and seven assists in the last two games. "I got the opportunity to play some extra minutes and the shots were falling," he said. Tinsley.

-- Jeremy Evans hadn't played in four straight games, but he saw 13 minutes of action against Golden State. Evans contributed five points, five rebounds and one blocked shot. "Coach always says that, when he calls your name, you've got to be ready," Evans said. "I went out and just tried to do what I do -- bring energy."

I just love that Derrick Favors (17), Enes Kanter (13) and Paul Millsap (12) combined (42) to grab more rebounds than the entire GSW team (40).

If this game didn't prove that Favors should be playing more than Millsap and Jefferson then I don't know what will.

Oh hey Craig! How ya doin? I notice you've been awfully quiet! In fact, you didn't post anything during the Jazz's game last night! Gee!Jefferson not playin have anything to do with that?

Did you see what Favors did last night? Oh man, he brought the big energy to Energy Solutions last night! He's ready for the bigtime. He's definitely ready to take Jefferson's spot! Better defense, more explosive offense, clutch dunks (not just bricked weezies). The future has arrived!

I appears that Hayward, Favors and Burks have all had a big statement game and have played well in the games around it. Now it is time for Kanter to blow it up.

So sad that we did not trade Big Al for a piece we could use and let Favors and Kanter get more minutes. Add a 3 point shooter or a really good quick PG and we would be so much better off. Now Ty has to go back to spreading starter minutes among 4 guys. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Come on Jazz, your future is now and it is here and it is spelled Favors-Kanter-Hayward-Burks. End of story.

You cannot tell me that you honestly believe than Millsap is better than Favors. Favors is better.

I don't need to believe that in order to "fix" your post. Favors and Kanter can't play 48 minutes a piece. There are 30-34 minutes a game for Millsap on this team. No doubt.

There aren't enough minutes for the four bigs we have. For me, it's Jefferson that doesn't make the cut. Thus, the cut.

As if you watched the game, lol. Kate was nowhere near ESA.

Okay. I read the deletion as Favors not being better than Millsap.

Well, since you seem so interested in my life...

I rarely post here on the weekends. Why? I'm out doing stuff, usually with chicks, hot ones, too!

Yesterday, I was busy with a girl that I training for a figure contest being held next week (so you won't hear from me next weekend either), and then I was out with a date.
You won't see me much today and most likely not tonight. Got a bunch of stuff going on. I kind of wish I didn't have so much. I could have used a few days to just chill, but there are way too many things going on.

I did happen to be at a coffee lounge during the game, and I caught the last part of regulation and OT.
OT was great fun. Favors was great, and I would love to see him continue to do well. You seem to think that I only want Al to do well, but that I am not pitting players against each other. Actually, I am a total Jazz fan and want to see all of the players do well.

But uh, it was a home game against the warriors. Just sayin...

Whenever Al busts out with a big game, all I hear is "Yeah, but he did it against a suckky team. He can't do it against anyone good"

Tonight will be a bigger test, and I definitely hope Favors can bring it again.

Okay so after Favors dominated GSW, a few people still said yes but it was against the Gsw. So after another double/double this time against the best front court in the league anybody still question whether or not Favors should be playing more than Millsap and Jefferson?

Favors is our best big and should be playing big minutes. Jefferson back or not I'll be really frustrated if Favors is not getting close to 30 MPG.

Wait til next year. Favors should be getting 25 mpg. Next year he will hopefully be ready to be a consistent starter on both ends of the floor.

If Corbin is really is the win every game at all costs type of coach then he has run out of excuses to not play Favors. It is so blindingly obvious that Favors is the best big on the team right now. Playing Jefferson or Millsap over Favors now to preserve their trade value goes against every line of BS excuse they have given this season for not playing the young guys.

I think it's blindly obvious Millsap is the best big. Have you seen him play lately?

Last 5 game averages

16 points ,10 rebounds, 4 assist, 4 steals, 1 block, many clutch plays.

Craig must be getting all those ladies again.

When you're done I do like the quote thread Craig.

No ladies tonight, although they kept calling me. Sheesh
Tonight was with family, and it was so great, I forgot the jazz were even playing until the last minute.

Sounds like you're done then. I did the same thing only probably more drunken and dangerous with my family.

Anticipating your thread anyways.
