What's new

I know, I know, a freakin' trade proposal

Take a look at the Spurs team-building strategies. They do this trade running away.

Except San Antonio has never made a trade like that.

Looking through their trades, I can't see an impact player they've gotten through a trade. Matt Bonner? Antonio Daniels? Speedy Claxton?

All their major pieces were drafted, and from what I've seen, where their own draft picks. Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, Elliott, Robinson, all draft picks.

... For what? So we can have another God awful 3 who can't shoot the 3? ...

This year Maggette is connecting on less than 1 three-point shot per game at .354. He's also shooting .376 from the floor. He's clearly Moute's offensive mother superior.

This thread was a hoot.

I think there is a less literal way of reading what I said. And besides, this point should have no bearing on what you or anyone else thinks of the trade idea.

This is more of a lateral move. Both are black holes. Maggs will do to Burks and Hayward what Al is doing to Favors and Kanter. I know we can do better then Maggs for Jefferson. Jefferson will be a nice asset at draft time. Incase the worst case senario happens and we end up with no draft picks it would be nice to have Jefferson to get a pick if need be.

He's coming off an injury and this year is a complete and utter anomaly. But good job looking at about 25 games rather than an 800 game sample size.

Or just find some mediocre team that has cap space and offer them Al for a trade exception plus their 1st round picks in 2014 and 2016. Its a crap shoot, but we don't add short term salary, open up the roster right away, and as players start to leave we might just get to restock the team down the line.
