Having a sleight-framed 6' 6" player and another sleight-framed 6' 8" player without long arms or superb athleticism as your SF rotation doesn't sound like a good thing. Against good SFs, the Jazz would get chewed up. That's saying nothing about most of the minutes at SG being manned by a guy that's 6' 3.5" in shoes.

Did I mention that none of these guys are yet seen as especially good defenders?

Add all of that up, and that's just a small wing rotation.

But again, Beal's probably not there. Portland's probably targeting him even if he's not available when they pick, too.

I think your selling Hayward and Burks short. They may not be household names on defense, both are tough minded players who are very good defensively they may not be the most physically imposing players, but your overlooking their mental toughness. You don't have to worry about guys that have high motors as much, and Hayward and Burks have that. The only guys they'd have a hard time with is guys like Labron James, but there isn't a defender that doesn't struggle with him. Players like Labron don't exactly grow on trees.

I also think Burks is tough minded enough to guard most sf's. I don't see why he can't beef up a little either.

He looks like he has the frame too. He and Favors both actually.
