is there any chance jazz can lure jeremy lin from the knicks? i think jazz has more money to offer...
 
We can't... The Gilbert Arenas rule prevents another teams from offering more than the mid-level exception to restricted free agents with less than three seasons of playing.

So NY will always be able to match (if they wanted to).
 
he"ll get a contract similar to Wes. Mid-level with the max increase for 5-6 years. 5 year 35 mill give or take.
 
The kid is going to re-sign with NY They gave him the opportunity to play. In NY he will make even more money endorsing products.

Or he could just sign a 1 year deal and hope for a bigger one when he gets his 3rd year of experience.

Dude ny has a very large Asian population stores would be stupid not to bring him in especially if they going after or trying to enter that demographic. There will be no shortages of sponsors. Also graduating from Harvard he represents what Asian Americans aspire too.

edit: Although Lin's size makes me all big n ****. I don't think we could pry him from NY unless we offer him way more than he's worth tho.
