2015 Ford Mustang

I'm a Mustang enthusiast. I have a '65 coupe in my garage. There have been a few years of doggy design (71-80 barf!) And a couple of misses in the 90's. Overall though I feel they've done a decent job. I really like the current iteration.

OK, now for the upcoming barf years. It is rumored that the coming 2015 will be heavily based on Ford's Evos concept car.

Looks like a European prick-mobile.

Discuss.

I had a 2007 Mustang until some chick rear ended me on the highway and totaled it and now I drive a 2011 Camaro just to switch things up.

That picture makes me want to get a Mustang again!

I'm also a Mustang enthusiast, but I think you're being extremely generous when you limit the "doggy design" years from 70-to-81. The window of horrible design was much larger than that. I'm also not a fan of the pic you've posted. Hope they do not go in that direction.

Love most mustang's. Not the 80's version they were pathetic. Own a 2005 Gt convertible and love it. If they make the mustang look like that picture I may become a Camaro fan instead. Yuck.

I think it looks like a tank.

The Hummer of Sportscars.

Personally I like Hummers but I know a lot of people that think it looks like ****.

I'm not a fan of this. It looks like someone wanted to design an Aston, then got lazy once they got past the grill.

The most concerning thing to me is the radical departure from traditional mustang styling cues. The only part that looks Mustang to me is the the rear quarter where the belt line and the roof line meet (reminiscent of the 69-70 fastback models.) And even then, the far back seems chopped off.

That being said, it's still better than the Mustang II.

The front is definitely Aston-Martin reminiscent. I honestly don't mind it though- aside from the ridiculous side view mirrors. Looks very European, which I like in a car. Keep in mind, the Ford Mustang doesn't need to necessarily always have several style cues to their original design. I think the formula of proceeding in a new direction, while keeping certain classic style cues (like the rear quarter panel-trunk area, like Bronco mentioned) is the way to go.

EDIT: The more I look at the back-half of the car, the less appealing it seems. I am definitely a fan of the front though. Hoefully they work on the lift back-esque design a bit more, before releasing it.

Yeah Ford needs to send those side mirrors back to Hey-Dude-check-out-my-$45K-custom-chopper-first-motorcycle guy.

I will wait and see, but I may now have to put Challengers, Chargers, and Camaro's higher on my list than the Mustang.
Maybe a few more too.

Challengers are beautiful cars.

Camaros... meh. Another misfire by Chevrolet's design team. They have seem to have the hardest time putting a cohesive style together. Too bad, from what I hear the rest of the car is pretty great.

I was curious why you were skipping all the way to the 2015 build so I googled 2014 Mustang and this baby prototype came up:

Now that's beautiful.
