Brandon Knight?

You think we could land B Knight on the Jazz for Big Al and Harris? We would probably have to take on Ben Gordon's contract and add in some fillers like Daye and such but I think this is a fair trade.

Monroe and Big Al would give the Pistons a needed big man, plus they get rid of Gordon's contract. We get four three point shooters even though Bynum and Daye are fillers.

PG: B Knight/Tinsley/Bynum
SG: Ben Gordon/Burks
SF: Hayward/Daye
PF: Millsap/Favors
C: Favors/Kanter

I'd much rather just attempt at snagging Kendall Marshall. I know he's not a shooter, and I know perimiter shooting is a huge need, but a pass-first point guard can work wonders for a team full of finishers.

I'd rather have Knight personally. He can distribute and a average level but he can shoot as well.

He hasn't really shown the ability to distribute at an average level yet. I would like him because he is an excellent shooter, though I doubt the Pistons are ready to deal him when he showed a fair amount of promise in his rookie year.

I just don't see Detroit having a ton of interest.

1) I don't like the Monroe/Al pairing
2) Good young PG's don't grow on trees
3) If they're desperate to shed Gordon, they can amnesty him

Just becuase I am interested to know, how many Piston games did you watch last year?

Knight has;

- Very high bbIQ
- Extreme work ethic
- Ice water in his veins
- An above average shot from everywhere
- Can become a pass-first PG but has little experience at it
- Average explosiveness/first-step, at best
- Only slightly above-average handles .. maybe just average
- Average defender

Those first three (particularly 1 and 2) give me hope that he would be able to improve upon the rest of his game.

I don't know that he necessarily plays with a chip, but he takes it personally to improve and be known, in retrospect, as the best.

Attributes like that are things I like to see in the Jazz players. Hard working, smart, physical, humble players with a desire to be the best.

Cyrone: "I need more evidence that what you are saying is true. I think he is slightly below average at best right now."

Everyone Else: "Shut up Cy."

Orangello: "I feel much better after getting that out."

Also, for those that don't know this bit of trivia, Knight never missed a single day of school from Kindergarten through his SR year of high school. Ended his HS career with a 4.0.

Think we could have used a little bit of THIS this year?

Sounds like Knight is a high character kid like MKG. I think a team can always use more of that.

I'm just waiting for fathead to show up, tell me I'm a homer .. when it was he that pimped Knight as highly as anyone .. and much more highly than I ever did.
