Well, I thought that would get your attention! Frankly, I think he should have gotten a game suspension, too! No need to take a guys head off when your playing basketball!

I think they probably should have suspended both, but I understand why Psycho-T got a pass.

Haslem clearly went for a revenge hit, and didn't even come close to the ball.

Hansbrough had the benefit of the doubt because Wade brought the ball down on a double clutch. I fully believe Hansbrough knew what he did, but he masked it much better than Haslem did.

Pittman however should be out for the season. and one game for Haslem.

Season? Artest got 7 games for his, which was much worse. 3 games seems right. He doesn't play anyway, so it really doesn't matter.

If anything he should be forced to play 30 minutes in game 6. That would be an actual punishment to the Heat.

good point, but the difference is that it appears that he may be a scrub that Miami will bring into a game to deliver a dirty hit.
the only way to keep them from doing this again is to inflict a severe deterrence.
without showing that the league is willing to take substantial action, miami might be more inclined to have players do this again.

not sure how you say one was worse.
you don't know how long the playoffs go.
if you'd be happier saying 7 games rather than the season,
fine I'd consider them close enough...
the season might be just 2 games.

LeBrons play was just as dirty as Hansbroughs, caused more serious injury, and has similar plausibility of innocence.

There is no proof anyone on Miami sent him out to do that. He might have just done it on his own.

true. there is also no proof that they didn't/
that is not really the point.
If the league does not show the willingness to make the team pay with a substantial penalty, it will make the Miami players (and other team's players) more likely to make dirty hits, whether they do it on their own or encouraged by the team. That is the point.
If it was proven that the team made Pittman do it, than a more substantial penalty than suspending Pittman should be considered, but that is not the sort of thing likely to be proven, even if it happened.
