Marc Stein: Jazz-Warriors discuss pre-Lottery trade (Source says trade "likely")

This is what I fully expect to happen.

Warriors get pick this year no matter what. The pick becomes top 4 protected next two years and GS gives us cash.

CASH BABY! THAT WILL BE THE BIG RETURN ON THIS

Why do you like talking to yourself so much?

Either you forgot to log out of blues or you are the only person that agrees with you.

I didn't say it was bad or a deal I wouldn't do .. I said I wouldn't consider it fleecing. Get it straight, man!

Getting the #30 pick means guaranteed contract.
The #35 pick doesn't have to be long term guaranteed.

btw, 30 and 35 could get us DMiller and JJenkis, and the Warriors (if healthy) are not going to be in the bottom 10 next year. So, yeah.

how about this: they keep their first-rounder under any circumstance, give us their 30th, and the pick is totally unprotected next year. <-- I take that.

I think thats what we should ask for at a minimum.

One thing I'm pretty sure of is that KOC wont flinch and will definitely end up on the winning side of any trade with the clowns running the warriors.

Would love that, but I don't think you get both of them. I think Jenkins goes before 30 and Miller likely goes between 30 and 35.

If we get two picks on the ~25% chance that we'd get nothing anyway + we keep next year's pick unless they blow up again? Um... ok. Let's take more.

I think your overrating those late picks.

Also, the main problem with your proposal was us giving more protection on the pick. Thats cray. At the least the protection should be changed to top 3 next year.

Here's my offer...

We give them:

Top 8 protection
Raja Bell
Jim Matheson

They give us:

Next year unprotected
The rest of their picks this year
Golden Gate Bridge (we'll stretch it across Utah Lake)

@PKM, I didn't know you had JJenkins going that early. DX has long had him in the early second round. I agree with you, but I'd been holding out hope.
