There are just some idiotic fans around here that will try their hardest to justify booing Deron, but if you tell them they could boo those other guys for essentially the same thing, it blows a fuse in their head.
You on the other hand dont even get whats going on. You just jump in and try to copy everyone else.

You say we should boo Stockton cause he acted like a dick to you. Not the same thing.
Malone left in the last season of his career to try and win a ring. As a wholehearted Jazz fan I have no problem with this. He stuck with us through the years and only left in his last season to try and win it all. It's what players do, it's nothing personal. You'll see Steve Nash attempt to do something similar in free agency this year, and I doubt Phoenix will have hard feelings about it; they'll wish him well.
So yes, we agree that it was a bit silly for fans to boo Deron on his return, but the idea that we should boo Karl and Stockton on the same grounds is very misguided.

Your question shows such a lack of creativity and intelligence that people have a hard time taking it seriously. There's a reason people think you're a trolling VINYLONE or another ex-poster - because your posts are too stupid to be borne out of anything, but a giant attempt at trolling.
As for a response: why boo Deron and not the others? Because Karl and John weren't involved in actions that led to the retirement of coach Sloan. The fact that you are too dumb to acknowledge that is incredible - or, if you are trolling, everybody is sick of your trolling which lacks any creativity.
Look at other former Jazz players and you will see that they were similarly booed when they returned to Utah even though they didn't have a falling out with the organization. Very few ex-jazz guys don't get booed. I think it's dumb, but it doesn't put me on the verge of a stroke like it seems to do to you.
Not all trolls are created equal and you are evidence of that. Step your game up or try posting at a lower rate in order to increase the quality. Sorting through your manic-phase posts for a good one is like wading through dog **** to find a nickel - the nickel is not worth all the other **** you must sort through.

The truth is I usually find you very entertaining and am still your friend. Sometimes you go manic and beat a topic to death and then start dry humping it. Seriously...two threads about the same thing on top of making the same point in a third thread?
No one really knows what any of the Jazz players are like. We don't live their lives and have no idea if we just caught them on a bad day. Everyone is entitled to being a prick once in a while. However, I do think BR 's statement is true. Just compare the AK and DW situation. AK did everything DW did and more. DW at least worked his butt off, played hurt and for the most part showed up in big games. Yet people are still clamoring for AK to be re-signed but the majority of people cannot stop with the DW bashing.
I have been a Utah Jazz fan from day 1 but I never have been comfortable with the fan base who acts like a dumped high school girl when a player leaves Utah and then when they come back they boo him. Players come and go so why do some Jazz fans feel justify in acting like immature babies when a player leaves or is traded. Now I could see if they trashed the city or organization but for the most part Jazz fans will boo the majority of players who have left. The booing is childish and makes the whole city and organization look petty.

Ahem, both John AND Karl are top five all-time players at their respective positions. John has the NBA record for assists and steals, while Malone is second all-time in points scored. Deron can't hold Stockton's jock strap. Also, Stockton and Malone's toughness were second-to-none. You can't say that about Deron at all.

Because at the end of the day, AK comes off as more likeable. People's assessment of someone's personality is generally irrational. It does not operate at a level of logical thought, but rather on some lower level of intuition and more base feelings. In Freudian terms, you might say your superego, or even your id, makes you like someone. And for whatever reason, Andrei comes off more likeable as a person than Deron. I don't know what is is, but it's probably his happier demeanor. Deron seems sullen most of the time. Now, as you said, we know very little about them as people, but this is just how they come off.
Deron always gave me a douchebag vibe. If I had to pick one of the two to go out to a bar, or shoot hoops behind my house, or play video games in my basement, it'd be AK 10 times out of 10. That's just how I feel.
And villains and cult heroes in the NBA are not determined by how good someone is, but rather the reaction they incite in people.
