What's new

I really don't like Romney.

I hate politicians and the fact that our political system has muffled the voices of the best businessmen/people from wanting to partake in gov't.

Well, regardless of your views on defense/war, hopefully most people knew this before today, right? I was just reading the comments on ksl and some people we're acting like this was the first time he has stated his views on the matter, when it's always been a consistent position of his. We're supposed to know this stuff before the whole caucus/primary season or that whole weeding out process doesn't work properly(not that I think it works properly anyway). He is an unabashed Neocon. His No Apology book lays it on thick. He also happens to be really really close to Benjamin Netanyahu, which is significant considering all the Isreal/Iran sabre rattling right now.

No matter how drunk you may be, no matter how naked you may be.....you're still watching a Celtic's playoff game. That sir, is always a miserable experience. One that some of us are unfortunately sharing in at the moment.

Haha, tried to rep ..

Johnny Gomez and Nick Diamond just declared that LadyWeenerzz owned Troust thread.

I often wonder what it would be like to live in a blurry, often mesmerizing, alcoholic haze -- but then I read your posts and know. Imagine how much good you could've done for the world with that brain of yours, you know, 10 billion burned up brain cells ago. What a waste.

Diamond > Gomez, btw.

In all fairness to Mr. Romney, who of any Presidential candidates other than Paul has suggested cutting our military size/defense budget? Certainly not Obama.

What President other than Clinton has closed bases and cut the defense's budget in the last 30 years?

I think the out of control defense spending has more to do with Congress "fighting" for jobs and contractors buying off the government (there is clearly a military industrial "entitlement" that is sucking our resources) than anything else. Shutting down military bases or factories in your state and laying off thousands of workers for the good of the union is basically going to destroy any chances of becoming reelected in even the most anti-government pro private sector states.

Just imagine the uproar even the most "conservative" leaders in Utah would cause if the Hill were ever shut down! A loss of thousands of jobs! Despite what these political leaders say (anti government pro private sector), they love the jobs and (federal) handouts they receive. Hence, why you'll never see Utah volunteer the Hill to be shut down or refuse federal money to build roads. Hatch and co will fight tooth and nail to keep that base operational (all while sucking millions/billions from our coffers and driving up our debt).

I prefer to live my life just getting by, making insults on message boards, and watching TV, to this ridiculous political mumbo jumbo. Sheesh, fellas, get a LIFE!

I would agree with this if I could just figure out a way to get by.
