MIR vs Dos Santos

Only chance Mir has is if it goes to the ground. That being said Dos Santos with a 2nd round KO is my prediction. I see it similar to when Carwin almost decapitated Mir with those upercuts in their fight.

Sadly, I see this too. The only real glimmer of hope I have is that JDS hasn't seen a takedown attempt in the last 3 years. He might have solid TDD, but I doubt it. I also like Mir's chances on his feet; that is, he's a good striker, but a damn worthless defender. Avoiding the clinch is key, imo. Double leg, side control, arm triangle. Badda bing, badda boom. Three time champ, bitches!

Is this a pipe dream? Likely. Mir will be relegated to Gate Keeper of the HW division ala CroCop, Big Nog, and Big Country. This is Mir's last chance at the title. If he loses, I will die a little inside. Or a lot.

Hello Gate Keeper status. I loved the shot in the first round, but why-oh-why did he not continue to shoot? Rogan was going on and on about JDS's take down defense, but how many times have we seen him actually defend a TD? Three times maybe? Ugh, that was a disappointing way to end a career.

It was a great card, but there is no way Brown Pride should get another shot after one damn fight. Silva was, is, and always will be a massive hack who needed roids to compete in ****ing Strikeforce. I've always hated that g'damn cheater.
 
It'll be Cain for lack of a better option. Overeem is out for now. Lavar would've been next had he beat Struve. Struve probably deserves a shot eventually.

Cain looked really good. I don't think he can beat JDS but keep in mind he was coming off shoulder surgery for that fight. BTW his fight with Silva was the bloodiest I've ever seen.

What about Mark Hunt? He's got a nice little streak going too. I bet he would've knocked Struve into next month.
 
there arent a lot of options for the hw division.
but strufe always seem to have exiting fights, or it just might me my bias for European fighters.
was a nice card though a lot of early stoppage, thats expected from a card full of HW
