2012 Draft: Predraft Camps & Workouts

They are shooters. My thought is that players of their ability would help to open things up for everyone else. I think that Beal and MKG are much more talented than Barnes but you cannot deny that Barnes can hit the open jumper.

I honestly believe that Barnes should just make a career out of the corner three. He should always be on one side or the other getting ready to take that shot.

Personally I'd love to land MKG but getting him and Iggy would play havoc on the Jazz as far as shooting goes. Since getting MKG and another lottery pick is highly unlikely I figured Iggy and one of the two shooters you mentioned. That improves the team in a much more balanced way. Especially is we get Nash who is a shooter as well.

So this guy Rudy Gobert from France measured 7' tall (without shoes) with a 7'9 wingspan.

Here is a picture of his freakishly long hand

Projected to go 14th in next year's draft.

I just saw all of those pictures. Sounds very interesting. I wonder if he gets pushed around a lot though.

Picking up chatter on other boards that GSW is offering #7 and a filler contract (R. Jefferson likely) to Philly for Iguodala. There are other offers out there for Iguodala supposedly (per Chad Ford).

Not sure if the Jazz would be in on one of those deals.

Holy ****, even more impressive Barnes has a no step 38'' vertical.

That is the 4th highest no step vertical ever recorded by DX.

I know the QMiller has been disappointing, but his numbers are crazy:

Quincy Miller
Height w/Shoes 6'10"
Wingspan 7'1.25"
No Step Reach 11'3.5"
Max Vert 36"
Max Vert Reach 11'9"

I am only posting that stuff because it tells me that there might be some improvements there due to his recent knee injury that he might not be completely healed from.

All these athletic testing numbers is what gets teams into trouble. Some of these stats look crazy and if you put too much value in this then you are likely to get burned.

Yeah, his numbers are good.

I think Barnes's numbers will solidify him a top 5 pick.

Barnes certainly had impressive combine numbers. However, it doesn't really matter because as I recall KD didn't do so well in the combine and we know how well that turned out.

As a FYI, Moe Harkless' athletic numbers are not much better than QMiller

While Lillard's sprint was only 3.43. The difference is in the agility drill where Lillard is much faster than Marshall.

Uggh, I hate the lane agility test so much. The results can never be right.

Quincy Acy somehow had a higher agility time than everyone at the combine, and by a wide margin?

MKG managed to have one of the slower agility times?

These things just can't be true.
