Draft day trade

Al Jefferson earl Watson and raja bell for rashard Lewis and the third. Then flip the third and 2013 gs top 6 protected for 6 and 11 to Portland and draft Harrison Barnes at 6 and Kendall Marshall at 11

Harris/ Marshall
Hayward/burks
Lewis/ Barnes/ hayward
Millsap/favors/ Lewis
Favors/kanter

That gives a big expiring and plenty of room to grow and still have cap next summer

Or something like that..

Thoughts?
 
I would like to think so. Jefferson would be a ton more productive than Lewis on the wizards and then they don't have to pay him the 20 million or so he is owed next year. Plus some veteran experience in bell and Watson. But probably not, however I will remain hopeful that KOC can pull some amazing out of his arse. NBA where amazing happens

You overvalue our players and undervalue the 3rd pick in a relatively deep draft.
 
If we want a top 6 pick in this draft then I'm convinced we'll have to give up one of the young 4. People here have high hopes for Burks (as do I), however, if I could swing a deal for Beal that involved giving up Burks, I'd do it.

Yeah I figured that was the response I would get. I just really like Harrison Barnes and I think kendall harsh all would be a good fit with the jazz so I was trying to come up with a way to get both of them

Me too, with no thought necessary.

However, it is the 6 vs 12 in a deeper draft .. and Beal will likely be gone by 6.

wow, it is not even that easy to make these changes at GM games but i've respected your fantasy world
 
Wizards are too high on Vesely plus they already have Nene. Nene is way better than Jefferson so I doubt they would do it

I'm more true a jazz fan than you could ever hope to be. Just sayin. And yeah I may be a bit of an optimist but I don't think that is a problem at all. I just hope for the best and happily live with what KOC thinks is right. Unless its keeping raja bell for another year or trading favors. Those are two things I wouldn't stand for. I'd have to write him a letter
 
So you are going t draft Barnes and then play Lewis ahead of him. That sounds like something the Jazz would do. Lewis is washed up and in my opinion is no longer a starter in the NBA. Heck it is ok to be optimistic but you have to throw a little realism into the equation. There is little chance of Washington trading for AJ and giving us the 3rd pick. He doesn't fit their system. Welcome to the board JayCamJazzfan, I appreciate the effort.
